In its letter of 4th September to the Inspector, the Council said it needed 6 months in order to undertake further Plan work.
Over 7 months later the Council has yet to publicly announce whether or not it has completed what it had set out to do. We are concerned that time is dragging on.
We anticipate that there will be need for further hearings this summer. On this basis our Consultant and Legal teams wish to now press for dates upon which it will be safe to book and take summer vacations.
Could the Inspector please formally inquire of the Council upon what date it will be providing him and the public with its considered responses to the consultation period which ended on 20th March.
We are concerned that the Council has missed its self-imposed deadline and that there are questions whether it has the capacity to finalise the work within a reasonable timescale.
We will be pleased to hear the Inspector’s and the Council’s views on these matters.
