Marketing Activities Of BMW INTRODUCTION The BMW Group is a manufacturer of luxury automobiles and motorcycles. It has 24 production facilities spread over thirteen countries and the company‟s products are sold in more than 140 countries. BMW Group owns three brands namely BMW, MINI and Rolls- Royce. This project contains detailed information about the marketing and promotional activities of BMW. It contains the history of BMW, its evolution after the world war and its growth as one of the leading automobile brands. This project also contains the information about the growth of BMW as a brand in India and its awards and recognitions that it received in India and how it became the market leader. This project also contains the launch of the mini cooper showroom in India and also the information about the establishment of the first Aston martin showroom in India, both owned by infinity cars. It contains information about infinity cars as a BMW dealership and the success stories of the owners. Apart from this, information about the major events and activities are also mentioned in the project, the 3 series launch which was a major event has also been covered in the project. The two project reports that I had prepared for the company are also a part of this project, The referral program project which is an innovative marketing technique to get more customers is a part of this project and the other project report is about the competitor analysis which contains the marketing and promotional activities of the competitors of BMW like Audi, Mercedes and JLR About BMW BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company founded in 1917. -

Mobilization and Isolation as Outcomes of a Dysfunctional Soviet Landscape. [a working title] Craig Campbell This paper is about the resilience of soviet landscapes in post-communist Siberia. It is my thesis that the Soviet landscape endures into the early years of the 21st Century as a dysfunctional artifact of the Soviet era. Many indigenous Siberian peoples living in remote villages and settlements have little or no access to means of travel and subsequently are suffering from a variety of problems associated with impoverishment and isolation. The soviet era placement of settlements and their requisite infrastructures are material reminders of a built environment that has failed to adapt to the conditions of market capitalism that now characterize the economies of central Siberia and are poorly suited to provide for the needs of remotely located rural peoples in the post-Soviet era. The settlements were designed to function with the redistributive inputs of fuel and subsidies associated with Soviet socialism and fail to work in their absence. In other words, Soviet settlements in rural Siberia are de-localized (Pelto 1973) technological systems. All of the artifacts of socialism are now precariously situated because of their dependence upon transfer payments, subsidies, and centralized bureaucracies. The post-Soviet landscape is littered with crippled devices of industrial manufacture, confounding the possibility for rural peoples to develop healthy communities. This paper presents a history organized around mobility where travel and the inability to travel is taken as a key experience for both indigenous northerners and newcomers. In my argument the current predicament of de- mobilization and isolation in remote villages of central Siberia is shown to be in part a result of enduring dysfunctional landscapes and the difficulty of negotiating mobility within these landscapes. -

November: A presentation at the International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences, (AIESEC), St. Petersburg, Russia event. I gave a lecture in Saint Petersburg at the AIESEC event “You Lead 2012″ (a European Union University youth organization). This was a great opportunity to spread the Virtuous Leadership message to some 300 Russian students. The AIESEC network includes 86,000 members in 113 countries and territories. It is the largest student-run organization in the world, being present in over 2,400 universities across the globe. AIESEC is supported by over 8,000 partner organizations that look to AIESEC support in the development of talented individuals who are focused on personal growth. December: Leadership talks to the Nikea Publishing Company, Moscow, Russia. In December I gave a few Virtuous Leadership talks to the staff of the Nikea Company, which is the leading Orthodox Publisher in Russia. This was a Christian audience and we had a wonderful and constructive discussion about the last chapter of my book Virtuous Leadership. Nikea is located in the very heart of Moscow, right beside the Kremlin walls… Nikea is preparing a new Russian edition of both Virtuous Leadership and Created for Greatness. That will be a way to penetrate the hearts of Russian Orthodox believers. January: Virtuous Leadership seminar for Leroy Merlin, Moscow, Russia. Presumably, Tupolev has made long-overdue adjustments to the airframe that were supposed to have been implemented during the Blackjack’s original production run. -
