Form AM 10-7 (October 2012) FORM AM 10-7: Procurement Notice/Advertisement Open International Competition (OIC) Country of Destination: Lahore, Pakistan Reference Number: FO/PN/04/2019-146 Description: Development of Site Management Plans and Capacity Development for Sustainable Tourism Development of selected Hindu & Buddhist Sites in Punjab Deadline for Submission of Sealed Tenders: Tuesday, 25th June 2019 16:00 Islamabad time Posting Date: Tuesday, 7th May 2019 United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows: Objective and Scope Under the sub-project “Protection & Promotion of Cultural Heritage of Punjab through Sustainable Tourism and Economic Growth (2018-2021)”, UNESCO Islamabad will be providing technical assistance to the Government of Punjab to ensure that a sustainable tourism development approach is applied for the protection of selected sites and museums through sustainable management policies and institutional reform; and that economic growth and cultural pluralism amongst the local communities are also evidenced as a result. The project aims to address these outcomes by supporting the government in developing integrated site management plans based on international best practices and building the technical capacity of conservation practitioners, institutions and communities to implement the plans for protection & management of the sites. The project also aims to develop museum management plans and strengthen the capacity of select museums to promote inter-cultural dialogue, transmit knowledge and contribute to tourism. Project Sites The overall project sites include Sikh Gurdwaras, Hindu Temples, Buddhist Stupas and Sufi shrines. Technical services are required to develop integrated site management plans and develop capacity of site managers for the following Hindu and Buddhist sites: 1.Katas Raj Temples 2.Mankiala Stupa In addition, a Museum Management Plan is to be developed for Taxila Museum. The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation Documents. Issued: October 2012 BFM/FPC - 2 - Interested companies who wish to participate in the OIC must request for a complete set of Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO contact person at the address shown below. The sealed tenders must be delivered to the UNESCO Islamabad Office on or before Tuesday June 25th 2019 at 16:00 hours Islamabad time, in strict compliance with the instructions as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents. UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process. Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and submission of their tenders.
