Poche POCHE CENTRE FOR INDIGENOUS HEALTH Position Vacant – Graduate Dentist Full Time (1 Year Contract) The University of Sydney Poche Centre for Indigenous Health is seeking a full time graduate dentist to join our oral health team in 2018. The position is based in Boggabilla working across Moree, Boggabilla, Toomelah and Mungindi. The position will be for a period of 1 year, January 2018-January 2019. The position will report to the Project Manager, Oral Health. There will be travel involved in this job. To be eligible for this position you will need to: 1. Have graduated as a dentist in 2017. 2. Be registered in Australia to practice as a dentist. 3. An Australian citizen or hold a visa which allows you to work as a dentist in Australia 4. Demonstrate your commitment to working within an Aboriginal community controlled health service to improve the health of the community. 5. Provide comprehensive dental services to the communities of Boggabilla, Toomelah, Mungindi, Moree and surrounding areas. The scope of service provided will include the provision of: complete and partial dentures, root canal therapy, surgical extractions within the realms of general practice, preventive services to the community in conjunction with a dental therapist and oral health promotion. 6. Work with a mentor and professional supervisor from the University of Sydney. 7. Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues in a team focused work environment. 8. Assist with planning and coordination of clinical services inclusive of services to be provided, meetings, workshops and other matters as required. 9. Hold a current unrestricted driver’s license. 10. Other duties consistent with the position as required.
