Thanksgiving Classic Cluster Dog Shows November 24-27, 2006 Don't Miss The Excitement of the Twenty-Fifth Annual “THANKSGIVING CLASSIC” The Northeast's Largest Cluster Show Weekend at the Northeast's Finest Indoor Dog Show Facility Windham County Kennel Club, Inc. - Friday, November 24, 2006 South Windsor Kennel Club, Inc. - Saturday, November 25, 2006 Springfield Kennel Club, Inc. - Sunday, November 26, 2006 Holyoke Kennel Club, Inc. - Monday, November 27, 2006 REDUCED ENTRY FEE FOR PUPPY, VETERAN AND BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASSES Over Five Acres Indoors - Largest Indoor Show Site in New England - EUKANUBA IS THE OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THIS CLUSTER CERTIFICATION Permission is granted by the American Kennel Club for the holding of these events under American Kennel Club rules and regulations. James P. Crowley, Secretary 2 - Thanksgiving Classic Cluster - November 24 - 27, 2006 WELCOME TO OUR DOG SHOWS PLEASE, DON'T FORGET TO: ASK BEFORE TOUCHING OR FEEDING A DOG! Often people have spent hours grooming their dog. Other dogs are nervous at shows or may not be use to crowds or children. And some dogs grab for treats or they might have finicky stomachs. NEVER LET YOUR CHILD HUG A STRANGE DOG! Just like most people object to being grabbed and hugged by strangers, so do many dogs! WATCH WHERE YOU STEP! We want you to make sure that you don't step on any feet, noses or tails of our friends. Also unfortunately, not all dog handlers are considerate enough to clean up after their dogs. KEEP ALL FAMILY MEMBERS ON THE OUTSIDE OF RING BARRIERS! Each dog and handler has only moments in the ring for the judge to evaluate him and any distractions (food or objects thrown into the ring, body parts hanging over or under the ring barriers, and/or loud disturbances) can throw their performance off. ALWAYS ASK FIRST IF IT IS A GOOD TIME TO TALK! You might be catching someone as they are nervously waiting to go in the ring, or hurriedly grooming for an upcoming ring time, or may be just closely watching dogs that they are interested in. If we are engrossed in something, we will be happy to let you know when and where is a better time to talk. As a courtesy to our exhibitors and in the spirit of the AKC Code of Sportsmanship the following individuals and their immediate families will not exhibit dogs owned or co- owned by them at these cluster events: Show Chairpersons, Club Presidents, Judges' Selection Committees and Cluster Hospitality Chairpersons. At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Whippets, Kerry Blue Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Keeshonden & Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In an emergency situation, an exhibitor does have the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.)
