Turlock, CA (January 25, 2018) –The long-awaited moment is finally here: hip-hop pioneers, Salt-N-Pepa, will be performing this summer at the Stanislaus County Fair. The Stanislaus County Fair welcomes Salt-N-Pepa with DJ Spinderella, Thursday, July 19, 2018. Salt-N-Pepa will be performing on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert will be hosted by KHOP @ 95.1 and is free with the price of Fair admission. “Salt-N-Pepa are the icons and status quo-challengers who stirred the undeniable masculinity found in the rap industry,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Their dedication to female empowerment and great music are what will make this concert an unforgettable one.” Salt-N-Pepa have changed the face of hip-hop as we know it. They gave females across the globe a voice within their communities and the music industry as a whole. Being one of the first ever female rap crew, Salt-N-Pepa broke barriers and opened doors for all future generations of women in hip-hop. With their hit songs, "Push It,” "Shoop," and "Whatta Man," Salt-N-Pepa would defy everyone's expectations and catapult hip-hop to new levels. Outside the realm of being legends of the hip-hop game, Grammy Award winning group, Salt-N-Pepa can also be called "revolutionaries of rap" and "ground breakers of the game.” Legends, trailblazers, innovators, and trendsetters are just a few words often used to describe this group. Salt-N-Pepa saw the urgency and importance of empowering females by using their voices through the mic to influence millions with their music. The 2018 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 13th for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been over 107 years in the making.
