NTR TRUST NEWS BULLETIN - 8 We are happy to share with you the NTR Trust e-News Bulletin for the months of July and August 2016. We will be happy to have your feedback. HIGHLIGHTS 1. NTR Trust in collaboration with Visual Art Gallerie & ITC Grand Kakatiya launched Mentor the Hero Program on 07 Aug 2016. Nara Lokesh, Trustee of NTR Trust inaugurated Mentor the Hero Program exhibition. Thanks to Ms. Lakshmi Manchu, Dr. Chandrashekar Srivari (Director, CSIR), Dr. Vijay Yeldandi (CEO, GYD Group) and many other dignitaries who graced the occasion. NTR Trust has mentors from USA, Kuwait, Dubai, AP & Telangana who have come forward to sponsor and mentor the education of orphan children at our NTR Model Schools. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson & Managing Director, Mr. M.Sambasiva Rao, President of Heritage Foods Limited inaugurated a new block “Heritage Foods Academic Block” at NTR Junior College, Gandipet for girls. On the occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu, NTR Trust in association with local doctors organized free medical camps at various ghats. NTR Trust in collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation & Satya Sai Seva Samiti distributed free safe drinking water to 12 lakhs devotees at various locations. 4. Mr. Nara Lokesh, Trustee & Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust were invited as Keynote Speakers at the Conclave on Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Technology by KIIT University, Bhubaneshwar. 5. Key Activities: EDUCATION 1. Ms. Nara Bhuvaneswari , Managing Trustee and Mr T. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust joined the senior students and staff of NTR Junior College to welcome the freshers. We are happy to welcome 356 new students into NTR Trust family, who joined NTR Trust Junior College this year. Ms. Nara Bhuvaneswari guided the students on the principles of success. Students showcased a wide variety of talent through their performances . 2. NTR Trust in collaboration with Visual Art Gallerie & ITC Grand Kakatiya launched Mentor the Hero Program on 07 Aug 2016. Thanks to Ms. Manchu Lakshmi and Dr. Chandrashekar Srivari for committing 2 orphan children each into Heros. 3. “Heritage Foods Academic Block” was inaugurated by Shri Devineni Seetharamaiah, Chairperson, Smt. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson & Managing Director, Shri M. Sambasivarao, President of Heritage Foods Limited. This block was built with CSR funds of Heritage Foods limited. This block was equipped with 17 spacious classrooms, a new computer lab equipped with 40 computers, a new library with a capacity of 80 students and a seminar hall that can accommodate 250 students. Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust & Mr. Y. Mohan Rao, COO-Education were present during the inaugural function. 4. NTR Trust celebrated 70th Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at NTR Model Schools in Gandipet - Hyderabad, Challapalli - Krishna District, Geesugonda - Warangal. Teachers revered the importance of the day and supreme sacrifice by freedom fighters and urged the students to become responsible citizens and prepare themselves to serve the Nation. 5. NTR Trust started 2 NTR Model Schools, one in Challapalli, Andhra Pradesh & another in Warangal, Telangana. The aim is to provide free quality residential education to hundreds of orphan children. Mentor the Hero launch HEALTH Key Activities: 1. On the occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu, NTR Trust in association with local doctors organized free medical camps at Punnami Ghat, Durga Ghat, Padmavathi Ghat, Krishnaveni Ghat & Ferry Ghat. These medical help centres were organized with an objective to provide free medical examinations and first aid services to pilgrims who came for a holy dip. 2. On the occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu, NTR Trust in collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation & Satya Sai Seva Samiti distributed NTR Sujala safe drinking water to 12 lakhs devotees at various places in Vijayawada with a service motto to the devotees who came for a holy dip. WE WORK THE TALK www.ntrtrust.org | 4 3. NTR Trust’s Ambulance service across all Pushkar ghats in Vijayawada. NTR Trust’s Ambulance carried our Medical Team and Medicines to all the ghats and is working like a mobile clinic from 7am to 10 pm every day. 4. Manasika Vikasa kendram gathered around 400 specially abled children along with their parents to give them holy dip on the occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu. NTR Trust supplied free safe drinking water to all the children and their parents. NTR Trust CEO, Mr T. Vishnu Vardhan and other team members attended the event and thanked Manasika Vikasa kendram organizers for their noble effort. Dr Parvathi Devi, Founder President of Manasika Vikasa kendram appreciated the support received from NTR Trust. 5. During July and August 2016, various organizations and individuals have come forward to voluntarily donate blood. We salute their amazing spirit and thank the institutions, employees, and well-wishers for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of voluntary blood donation. The venues of the blood donation camps were - Vignan Engineering college, Ascendas , NCR Corporation, Accolite Software India Ltd,CMR Central , Continental Hotel, Vignan IIT, Satya Sai Devotees, Sai Harsha Motors. 6. During July and August 2016, NTR Trust organized free Medical Camps across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, wherein people were given free treatment and medicines. NTR Trust Skill Development Centre held a graduation ceremony on July 2016 . Mr Tilak Perala, Dyned, Hyderabad presented students with certificates for successfully completing their four weeks training. 2. On the occasion of World Youth Skill Day, 2016, NTR Trust through Its Skill Development Centre freely trained 1,100+ and gainfully placed 450+ youngsters. On the World Youth Skill Day we fondly committed to empowering 100,000 youngsters, in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana through skill building and entrepreneurship training by 2020. 3. Mr Satish Gaddam, Vice President - Business, Sanra Fertilizers Pvt Ltd handed over the certificates to the students of NTR Trust Skill Development Centre who have completed their four weeks training .
