The Industrial Platform Dacia from Mioveni Is Now Verdant Due to Its Employees The Industrial Platform Dacia from Mioveni is Now Verdant Due to Its Employees During november, the employees of Dacia plants from Mioveni got together in a broader project of volunteering and planted 1000 seedlings (spruces, birches, red oaks, maples, poplars). The shrubs were chosen depending on the type of soil and in harmony with the greenery already existing. ’’We want to enhance the air’s quality on the platform and in Mioveni city. We want to take care of nature, of the environment, of ourselves and our children. In the last ten years, at the level of Groupe Renault Romania over 270 000 trees have been planted on the sites where we are holding our activities and where we have our communities. My advice is to be as sensitive to nature as you can and to spend as much time outdoors as you can, leaving something to grow behind you.’’, declared Christophe Dridi, president CEO of Dacia and General Manager of Groupe Renault Romania, who took part in the volunteering event held on the platform. Dacia Vehicles Plant Employees and clients are the center of Dacia Vehicles Plant’s transformations. It’s a modern plant, more adapted to changes with the majority of the processes of fabrication being automated. Along over five decades, the plant have been produced over 6,8 millions vehicles. Here were fabricated generations from 8 different models: Dacia 1100, Dacia 1300, Dacia Nova, Dacia SupeRNova, Dacia Solenza, Dacia Logan (with the versions of berlin, station wagon, furgon and pick-up), Dacia Sandero and Dacia Duster. Inside the same fabric are being produced parts and collections of parts necessary to the assemblance of the range Global Access in other plants of Groupe Renault from around the world. At the moment, one vehicle comes out once in 54 seconds from the editing strip and over 90% of the production is being exported. Mechanic and Chassis Dacia Plant The most complex plant at mondial level from the perspective of the processes and activities, belonging to Groupe Renault, encompasses a diversity of fabrication technologies. In the four departments of the fabric the aluminium raw parts are produced, the engines and the gearboxes are assemblied, the back and forth axles are mounted, the axles and the power train for the vehicles from the range of Dacia, Renault, Nissan which are produced at Mioveni and other plants from around the world. The factory uses the common system of production for the plants from the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance- Alliance Production Way (APW). In 2018 the fabric produced in total 559 000 engines (Energy Tce and K7), 432 000 gearboxes and 747 000 axles. Romania Logistic Direction from within the industrial platform from Mioveni has as a main mission the assurance of the necessary conditions for a good unfolding of the process order-supply and the transportation of the parts used in the fabrication of the vehicles and that of mechanical components in Dacia plants from Mioveni. The same Logistic Direction is supervising the same processes in 24 other plants belonging to Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance which produces vehicles from the Global Access range at an international level. Moreover, Romanian Logistic Direction serves the Commercial direction by delevering the finite products (new vehicles) the authorised sales net from Romania and outside the country. https://www.gruprenault.ro/en/media/2019/industrial-platform-dacia-mioveni-now-verdant-due-its-em ployees 2 Groupe Renault Romania Manufacturer of automobiles since 1898, Groupe Renault is present in 134 countries and sold 3,9 millions vehicles in 2018. PRESS RELEASE April 11, 2008 DACIA PAY AGREEMENT SIGNED • Dacia management and Dacia’s trade union, Syndicat Autoturisme Dacia (SAD), signed an agreement on an annual pay increase on April 11, 2008. Work resumed at the plant on the same day at noon (GMT +1). • Under the agreement, qualified production workers will receive a gross monthly salary increase of 300 lei (83 euros) from January 1, 2008, followed by a gross monthly increase of 60 lei (16 euros) from September 1, 2008. Technicians, supervisory staff and managers get a 15% raise. All employees will receive a profit- sharing bonus based on 2007 results. We are proud to let you know about the launch of the new 2.0 Blue HDI engine from PSA, which conforms with Euro VI emissions standards, and on which Sogefi filters are fitted. This DW10F engine, which offers from 135HP up to 180HP and will equip many vehicles like Citroën C4 Picasso, DS3, DS4, Peugeot 308 II and RCZ, is anticipated to meet the Euro 6 standard. This new rule imposes a strict reduction on the nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx); achieved by the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) pollutant-reducing system that is well-known on trucks, but up to now has been very rare on light vehicles. The Sogefi Group has been named as an exclusive tier one supplier of key components for the new PSA Euro 6 compliant diesel engines. According to the vehicle type, Sogefi will be the original filtration equipment provider for air, oil and especially fuel, using a brand new diesel filtration module. This module delivers an exceptionally high filtration, capturing almost all particles bigger than 4µm. This meets the demanding levels of protection needed by the latest generations of Diesel Fuel and Common Rail injectors, ensuring compliance with imminent Euro 6 regulations.

FROM FORDISM TO LEAN MANAGEMENT: MAIN SHIFTS IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY EVOLUTION WITHIN THE LAST CENTURY Attila Turi Politehnica University from Timisoara, Romania [email protected] Marian Mocan Politehnica University from Timisoara, Romania [email protected] Larisa Ivascu Politehnica University from Timisoara, Romania [email protected] Gilles Goncalves Univ Lille Nord de France [email protected] Sorin Maistor Politehnica University from Timisoara, Romania [email protected] Abstract: The paper outlines the main shifts in production, organizational culture and supply chain management in automotive industry during the last century and underlines key factors in car industry development. Car manufacturers have undergone important changes in production technology and philosophy which have brought about dynamic changes in operations management and organizational culture and have extended to a very complex and challenging supply chain integration. Carmakers face harsh competition and thus strive to improve their overall performance in their attempt to overcome the current slow market revival and remain globally competitive. The paper focuses on the Dacia-Renault case study and uses the case research method to describe how the different shifts in automotive industry have impacted the Romanian brand. Relevant data and indicators for the impact of Dacia’s evolution on economic, social and environmental level are analyzed and compared and provide an overview on car market dynamics and future perspectives. Results show that drivers of carmaker competitiveness are mainly related to market specifics, sensible and subjective customer criteria as well as an important brand awareness. The research provides an overview of the features prompted by the different shifts in production systems during the last century and provides recommendations to improve competitiveness and assure sustainable development of car manufacturing companies, automotive industry and their supply chain.

  • Car Assembly Plant
Car Assembly Plant Dacia Vehicle Plant produces vehicles in the following ranges: Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero (including the Stepway version) and Duster (4x2, 4x4), while also manufacturing spare parts for current and discontinued models. The Vehicle Plant operates currently at a rate of 1,300 vehicles per day, which means 60 vehicles per hour (one car comes out of the assembly line every minute). In 2016 the plant produced 320,239 cars and 42,371 painted car bodies, which were dispatched to Renault plant in Algeria. During its 49-year lifetime the plant produced 8 different models: Dacia 1100, Dacia 1300, Dacia Nova, Dacia SuperNova, Dacia Solenza, Dacia Logan (with the sedan, station wagon, waggon and pick-up versions), Dacia Sandero and Dacia Duster, totalling almost 6 million vehicles. The plant is organised in four production departments: Pressing, Bodies, Painting and Assembly. Pressing is the beginning of a vehicle's production process and consists of transforming the raw material, delivered as steel sheet, into car body parts. The parts thus obtained are delivered to the Bodies department, where they are assembled by spot welding to create the car body, together with mobile elements. Painting, the third stage of the manufacturing process, aims to protect the car body against corrosion and to achieve the finishing according to quality requirements. 8 kg of paint (water-based paint) are necessary for painting a car body. In the last stage of the manufacturing process, in the Assembly department, the mechanical elements are assembled and installed (the engine set, the rear bridge), as well as the driving unit, mirrors, inner and outer elements of the vehicle (carpets, seats, lights etc.).
