We are proud to let you know about the launch of the new 2.0 Blue HDI engine from PSA, which conforms with Euro VI emissions standards, and on which Sogefi filters are fitted. This DW10F engine, which offers from 135HP up to 180HP and will equip many vehicles like Citroën C4 Picasso, DS3, DS4, Peugeot 308 II and RCZ, is anticipated to meet the Euro 6 standard. This new rule imposes a strict reduction on the nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx); achieved by the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) pollutant-reducing system that is well-known on trucks, but up to now has been very rare on light vehicles. The Sogefi Group has been named as an exclusive tier one supplier of key components for the new PSA Euro 6 compliant diesel engines. According to the vehicle type, Sogefi will be the original filtration equipment provider for air, oil and especially fuel, using a brand new diesel filtration module. This module delivers an exceptionally high filtration, capturing almost all particles bigger than 4µm. This meets the demanding levels of protection needed by the latest generations of Diesel Fuel and Common Rail injectors, ensuring compliance with imminent Euro 6 regulations. The filter body is made entirely of weight-saving plastic and contains a Sogefi designed ‘chevron’ pleated filter element. This exclusive pleating technology saves space and weight on the vehicle. The ‘Eco-filter’ element has been developed to avoid clogging by diesel fuels, including Biodiesel (B30), available in different geographic locations. It employs Sogefi's ‘Diesel3Tech’ technology, which protects the Injection System against water droplets in fuel. It captures almost any water droplets bigger than 20µm, and maintains performance over time. Both the oil filter and diesel filter modules have been positioned to facilitate servicing. By making the oil filter about 20% smaller and lighter than the previous design it has been more easily integrated into the engine. Likewise, the positioning of the diesel filter makes it easy to drain water from the top for ease of servicing. This new Diesel filter will soon enhance the Fram brand under the reference Fram CH11781ECO. www.fram-europe.com New References New references available Type P/N Make/Model P/N Mann P/N Malhe P/N WIX P/N UFI P/N ADL Air CA10994 BMW Z4 (E89) C27125 Air CA11711 FIAT SEDICI LX3475 3040500 Cabin CF11178 KIA OPTIMA LA876 ADG02578 Cabin CF11464 VOLKSWAGEN UP CU26006 WP2092 Cabin CF11662 FIAT 500L Cabin CF11676 LANCIA VOYAGER Monospace (RT) CU23003 LA460 ADA102518 Cabin CF11706 RENAULT CLIO IV CU22011 Cabin CFA10417 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT (LS) CUK2747 LAK280 WP9343 5415500 ADJ132502 Cabin CFA11471-2 BMW X3 (F25) CUK19004-2 LAK630/S Cabin CFA11544 DACIA LODGY, DACIA DOKKER Cabin CFA11718 PORSCHE PANAMERA CUK22005 LAK120 Petrol G9041 CHRYSLER STRATUS (JA) 33523 www.fram-europe.com New Applications For more detailed applications, see on our website Start Start of End of of End of Brand Model prod. prod.

  • Dacia Pay Agreement Signed
PRESS RELEASE April 11, 2008 DACIA PAY AGREEMENT SIGNED • Dacia management and Dacia’s trade union, Syndicat Autoturisme Dacia (SAD), signed an agreement on an annual pay increase on April 11, 2008. Work resumed at the plant on the same day at noon (GMT +1). • Under the agreement, qualified production workers will receive a gross monthly salary increase of 300 lei (83 euros) from January 1, 2008, followed by a gross monthly increase of 60 lei (16 euros) from September 1, 2008. Technicians, supervisory staff and managers get a 15% raise. All employees will receive a profit- sharing bonus based on 2007 results. The bonus will be equal to one month’s gross salary, with a gross minimum of 900 lei (249 euros). • The agreement concludes the negotiations started on January 28, according to a protocol established under Romanian law. Dacia management and the trade union have thus reached a reasonable compromise. The pay increases are significantly higher than the national average and the average in the Romanian manufacturing sector. In 2008, the average gross yearly salary of Dacia production workers will be 43% higher than the Romanian average (forecast). The salaries will also keep the Pitesti plant competitive on producing Dacia vehicles and parts for the worldwide Logan program. Today’s agreement between Dacia and SAD concludes a negotiation period that started on January 28, 2008, during which the management and the trade union met three times a week. Stuart Harris has moved on to a new position within Ford of Europe and, as I move into his role, I hope to continue with his goal of driving up training standards. Also joining the team is new Academy Principle, Kevin Perks, who brings with him a lifetime of automotive industry experience. Dan Savoury, the new Vice Principal, joined the Academy earlier this year and also has a wealth of industry and training experience that will help us continue to improve our training which, in turn, benefits your business. I hope to use the experience gained in my previous sales and marketing roles within Ford to help our training continue to grow in scope and quality. It is a really exciting time to be a part of the Ford family; with new vehicles joining the range and new technology transforming the industry more widely. Good training is vital to our success and we continue to strive to achieve the highest standards and keep you up to date with this rapidly changing industry, from the technical training for the All-new Ford Mustang detailed on page 4, to ensuring our Commercial Vehicle Sales staff can give their customers the best advice with courses such as Commercial Vehicle Type Approval and Legislation on page 30. The success of our training programmes is demonstrated in this issue, with Chelsea Riddle from TrustFord in Bradford a great example of what the Ford Masters Apprenticeship scheme offers to young people, or the success that Mike Gates from Dinnages Ford in Burgess Hill has achieved with a university scholarship through the Henry Ford Academy.

  • Dacia, Always in the Hearts of Romanians
Dacia, Always in the Hearts of Romanians The Dacia brand and the Mioveni plant celebrate in 2018 half a century of existence. Automobile Dacia is today the most important company in Romania. Employees’ talent and professionalism turned Dacia into a symbol of quality and performance. Dacia conquered customers from 44 countries through attractive, quality models, at the best price. "I am very honored to mention a unique moment. In 2018 we shall celebrate 50 years of Dacia heritage: of a plant, of a brand, and of a Romanian symbol. We shall live again important moments of this half a century, we shall give the floor to the employees who have lived and permanently live the continuous transformation of Dacia. We shall organize during the year, across the country, communication events. Dacia is a dynamic brand with an essential role in the success of the strategic plan of Groupe Renault, “Drive the Future”. Dacia is a success symbol on a very competitive market, which is the automotive industry and it imposed itself as a key player on all demanding European markets, by designing and manufacturing attractive, quality cars, at the best price. Romania has the legitimacy to continue this success and Dacia will always be in the hearts of Romanians." - Antoine Doucerain, Managing Director Automobile Dacia and Groupe Renault Romania. 50 years ago… In the proximity of the Colibași village (currently a neighborhood of Mioveni) the last works for establishing the Pitești Vehicle Plant (RO – “Uzina de Autoturisme Pitești” – UAP) were taking place. The industrial site, built as a result of the cooperation with Renault, was soon to start the manufacturing of its first cars, marking thus the birth of one of the most beloved Romanian brands – Dacia.
