PRODUCT INFORMATION CENTER APRIL 2014 Agenda • In the spotlight • New references • New applications Air, oil, fuel, diesel filters Cabin fiters • Change of status Filters available whilst stock last Filters superseded Filters abandoned www.fram-europe.com In the Spotlight PIC April 2014 Dear customers, This new edition of our quarterly news bulletin, close to the arrival of spring, is the ideal opportunity to speak to you about reduction of emissions. We are proud to let you know about the launch of the new 2.0 Blue HDI engine from PSA, which conforms with Euro VI emissions standards, and on which Sogefi filters are fitted. This DW10F engine, which offers from 135HP up to 180HP and will equip many vehicles like Citroën C4 Picasso, DS3, DS4, Peugeot 308 II and RCZ, is anticipated to meet the Euro 6 standard. This new rule imposes a strict reduction on the nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx); achieved by the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) pollutant-reducing system that is well-known on trucks, but up to now has been very rare on light vehicles. The Sogefi Group has been named as an exclusive tier one supplier of key components for the new PSA Euro 6 compliant diesel engines. According to the vehicle type, Sogefi will be the original filtration equipment provider for air, oil and especially fuel, using a brand new diesel filtration module. This module delivers an exceptionally high filtration, capturing almost all particles bigger than 4µm. This meets the demanding levels of protection needed by the latest generations of Diesel Fuel and Common Rail injectors, ensuring compliance with imminent Euro 6 regulations. -

English Ford Lines Volume 5 Number 4
North American English Ford Registry Volume 5, Number.. ~ David O. Wiggins, Editor fulyiAugust 1996 Robert VV. Pare, Founder & Editor Emeritus ~j1~,1ltlL~JJj Published bi-monthly on 15 January, March, May, July. September, and November Membership Dues: $15.00/year payable in U.S. Funds .. F" I *V *E * from (be R·H *0 $< D*E *Thanks to all the NAEFR members who showed up for the annual meeting at Import Carlisle in Carlisle, PA. As the saying goes, timing is everything. About 20 minutes after the official photo session, banquet, and question and answer period the weather started to deteriorate in a big way. Those of us at the Big Yellow Pagoda Tent were able to watch the storm march across the fairgrounds scattering used Peugeot hub caps and Spitfire fenders like paper in the wind. The tent started to do a rumba, the likes of which I haven't seen since reruns of Charo on the Hollywood Squares. Thanks to the quick thinking of member John Rohland, we vvere able to disassemble the tent in record time and leave it in a big, yeliow heap on the ground and run to our cars just as the rain squall hit. And rain it did. The fair grounds looked like the Mississippi River, and the parking lot exits looked like the approach to the Queen's Midtown Tunnel. No one was moving. Bob Pare rode out the storm in his Consul--fogged windows and all--until we cleared a seat in the back of the appliance so he could take advantage of the AC. -
Mk 2 Ford Consul , Zephyr & Zodiac Buyers Guide
MK 2 FORD CONSUL , ZEPHYR & ZODIAC BUYERS GUIDE WHAT TO LOOK FOR , WHAT TO AVOID AND WHAT TO PAY INTRODUCTION The MK2 range was produced between 1956 and 1962 .The latest cars will be 48 years old and the first to roll off the line will be the grand old age of 54 . Saloon’s , convertible’s and estate model’s were all produced .It doesn’t take a genius to assume that bodywork integrity must be a major issue when thinking of buying one these cars especially when it comes to the convertible model .Estate models were produced by E.J. Abbott of Farnham. All the version’s of the MK2 range have suffered similar problem’s with corrosion over the years , but extra vigilance must be given to convertible’s due to the importance of the floor , sill’s and complete chassis assembly . Strength & and solidity in the bodywork of an open top MK2 is vital to it’s existence as a viable motor car. Although the steel used by Ford was deemed to be good quality , unlike some of the MK2’s contemporaries. The treatment’s , coatings etc especially in vulnerable places left a lot to be desired . Most MK2’s on the road today will have suffered at some point with rust and the places it occurs are very similar across the whole range. With regard to the engine & transmission , this has stood the test of time in most cases . Not exactly bullet proof but with regular maintenance , lubrication and general TLC the motor and running gear can be reliable and reasonably trouble free .
