The Action concerns preparatory studies for the construction of this new railway line. It relates to the Mediterranean European Commission Corridor. The Action is part of a Global Project that aims at the completion http://ec.europa.eu/transport of the new Montpellier-Perpignan railway line. Innovation and Networks Executive The Action consists of a set of studies, including route alignment definition, Agency (INEA) socio-economic and financial studies, environmental assessment and http://ec.europa.eu/inea preparation of the public enquiry procedure. In the long run, the Action will improve the connection between North-West Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, providing a direct link between major cities such as Barcelona, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier and Toulouse.
