What sort of work do/did you do? Before WWII: office assistant, bookkeeper After WWII: executive in socialist firms

How religious was your parents’ home? How were you raised? I wasn’t raised religious. I had my bar mitzvah, but I wasn’t interested in religion. We observed holidays, but I never went to synagogue. My father saw observing the commandments as more important than going to synagogue. Nor did he force his children to go to synagogue.
