Blake Matray is a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served 23 years with both the U. S. Air Force and the Air National Guard. As a pilot, he flew the Boeing B-52 and KC-135 aircraft. During his mil- itary career, Blake oversaw aircrew training, strategic planning, risk 2018-2019 President management and flight safety programs. His last duty assignment Tammy Randolph was as the Assistant Director of Strategic Operations for Red Flag 2018-2019 OFFICERS Alaska at Eielson AFB, Alaska. VICE PRESIDENT After retirement, Blake expanded his service in the non-profit sector Jim Culley PRESIDENT ELECT by serving as a board member at the Alaska Center for Children and Doug Schrage Adults in Fairbanks. His next employment was as the CEO of Dogs SECRETARY for Better Lives in Central Point, OR. The nationwide non-profit Gretchen Gordon trains Hearing, Facility and Autism Assistance Dogs who mostly come to the organization from shel- TREASURER ters. A desire to return to Alaska eventually led him to become the Executive Director of the Tanana Tom Gross Valley Fair in April. TREASURER ELECT Kate Ripley Blake is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado and has a Master’s Degree from Ellis PAST PRESIDENT University in Chicago. Blake is married with two children and he spends as much time as possible Bill Wright with his family in the outdoors.

The Fairbanks Tracy Vanairsdale Chapter has endowed and annually awards the Blue & Gold Scholarship, the Doogan Memorial Lonny Piscoya Scholarship, the Hammond Memorial Scholarship, and the Chapter Legacy Scholarship. Grab your team and sign up for a shift (or two or three)!

Tanana Valley State Fair “I was born and raised in Nome, Alaska. I am an Inupiaq Eskimo who was raised hunting August 6 and fishing, for which I still am active in those activities. I have been married to my wife, Peggy Pollen’s birthday Bridget for more than 24 years. We have six August 8 children: Daniel-age 23, Nicholas-age 22, Mat- thew-age 19, Molly-age 16, Ethan-age 10 and Betty Everts’ birthday Samantha-age 9. Daniel has graduated from the University of Alaska with a Bachelor’s De- August 9 gree and currently works and lives in Juneau. Molly is a junior at West Valley H.S. here in Fairbanks. Ethan will be August 10 attending the Boreal Sun Charter School. Samantha is also enrolled to Boreal Sun. My wife, Bridget has spent these last 24+ years raising the kids while I’ve been working as an Alaska State Trooper.
