PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – Sept. 16, 2019 – Producer and musical icon David Foster is bringing his popular “An Intimate Evening with David Foster: Hitman Tour” to the Mystic Showroom on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at 8 p.m. The show will feature special guest Katharine McPhee, fresh off her recent Broadway and West End hit musical “Waitress.” Foster will perform songs he wrote or produced from his four decades of hits and will share captivating storytelling about the songs, artists and moments of his life.
Foster’s hits include Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me,” Whitney Houston’s “The Bodyguard,” Earth Wind and Fire’s “After the Love Is Gone,” Chicago’s “You’re the Inspiration”, Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” Michael Bublé’s “Home,” Natalie Cole’s “Unforgettable” and many more. McPhee, who is known for her powerhouse presence and show-stopping performances, will join Foster for several of his well-known songs including “The Prayer.”

ABOUT DAVID FOSTER In the four decades of his impressive career, David Foster has established himself as one of the most successful songwriters, composers and record producers in history. For his groundbreaking work in music and composing, Foster has won six Juno Awards, 16 Grammy Awards, an Emmy, a Golden Globe and has received three Oscar nominations for best original song. Foster was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1998, the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2002, and was honored by both the Canadian and the American Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2013, Foster received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In March, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) honored Foster with the 2019 Humanitarian award at the Juno Awards. ABOUT KATHARINE MCPHEE Katharine McPhee possesses a voice for the ages. Audiences first fell under McPhee’s spell during a storied run on “American Idol” Season 5 in 2006. Propelled by the smash “Over It,” her 2007 self-titled debut bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and achieved an RIAA gold certification. 2010 saw her return with not one, but two records — “Unbroken” and “Christmas is the Time To Say I Love You.” Simultaneously, she became a force on the big and small screens. McPhee co-starred alongside Debra Messing on “Smash” from executive producer Steven Spielberg as well as guest appearances on “CSI: NY,” “Community,” “Family Guy” and more. Meanwhile, she starred in various films.
