Wow! We did it again! Once again we far exceeded our expectations with Mustang Memories 2012! We had just under 900 cars on the grounds this year! Over 4000 people in attendance, we had multiple one-off cars, special guests such as Mike Berardi, Jamal Hameedi, Neil Ressler and even Kevin Marti was in attendance! We hosted the SVT 2012 Homecoming, which was a huge hit with everyone! The keys to the Grand Prize winner of the Mustang Dream Giveaway were handed to the lucky winner! We helped Ford raise almost $10,000 for the one-off Boss 302 that was awarded at the Woodward Dream Cruise the following weekend! The world famous Wounded Warriors Shelby Mustang was even in attendance, also 5 Hour Energy and Monster Energy were there as sponsors! We had a record-breaking swap meet once again at the show, and this continues to grow year after year! Our sponsors came out in full force! Ford Racing, Classic Design Concepts, Ford Collection, Steeda, Livernois Motorsports, Motor City Solutions, DST Industries, Roush, Blue Collar Performance, Oval Repair, and many, many more were out on the grounds with amazing displays! Also many more sponsors supported the show but could not be in attendance, including big names like NPD, Latemodel Restoration, Pypes, etc. Our sponsors are the ones who make it all possible for us to put on such an amazing show each year! We are very appreciative of all the sponsors we have each and every year! We had 200+ members working the show this year. I would like to once again say thank you so much to each and every one of you for your time and dedication. Our judging has been amazing over the last 2 years, and we are still making improvements. Security was even better this year, and will be better yet in 2013! 2013 will bring us our 25th anniversary show of Mustang Memories! So stay tuned for a lot of cool new and exciting happenings within the show! Thank you to all involved with the success of Mustang Memories 2012! Just wait till next year! Newfoundland Antique and Classic Car Club (NACCC) April – June 2008 Iron Wood Shopping Mall, Richmond BC (Picture compliments of Walter and Shirley LaCour) President’s Message Another cruising season has started and Classic Wheels 2008 Car show is now history. Time surely flies when we are having fun getting prepared for the show. I would like to thank all the members who participated in the show whether it was helping to plan the car show, showing your car, volunteering with ticket sales or whatever. Without your help it would be impossible to do such an event. Congratulations to all the trophy winners. It is very difficult to choose from such beautiful classic automobiles. According to the list of activities and events in the calendar it seems we will have a very busy season. We suggest you refer to the calendar for events that will interest you. Of special note is a show and shine on July 1 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1 for our veterans. A large attendance will show our thanks to all the veterans from past and present for the sacrifice they made for us. There will be information in the newsletter pertaining to this. Our car club plans to visit the A&W on Cunard Crescent, in Donavans on a regular basis every second Thursday night. Owner, Scott Bartlett, promises to make our visits interesting and will give the club a percentage for A&W catalogue merchandise purchased. Please remember cruising and socializing is what our club is all about so get out and meet up with the members and enjoy our short cruising season.

Volume 19 Issue 6 June 1, 2019 The 1958 - 1960 Lincolns, Interesting Automobiles A totally different Lincoln from the ones who came before it. Experiencing a shortage of articles from our members, we went back into the archives of Continental Comments for an interesting article; which you might enjoy. Lincoln models 1958 through 1960 were both interesting from a mechanical and stylistic standpoint. A lot of folks were not quite sure if the new look of these models was something that they would really like over a period of time. Compared to the 1956 and 1957 models, they really were quite different. Boxier and somewhat larger by most measurements. Now some 60 years later, they are sort of coming into their own. Nice examples will bring a lot of money today, especially if they are convertibles. We have several of these models owned by North Star club members, and they do speak quite highly of them. This article was written by Tim Howley and appeared in the July August 2002 issue of Conti- nental Comments. It is an interesting story, and it looks at these models in a fairly object fashion. Welcome to the We hope you enjoy reading it. Northstar News, the The late Fifties is a fascinating era in automobile styling. It produced the ultimate in ba- roque automobile architecture, especially in the biggest American cars. We think of the 1959 monthly publication of Cadillac and 1957-59 Imperial as being the most interesting examples. But when you set the Northstar Region them alongside the 1958 Lincoln, and to a degree the 1959 and 1960 versions, they don't even of the Lincoln and begin to compare in terms of uniqueness of design.
