The article is concerned with basic concepts related to development of an ecological-excursion cluster in the Rostov region. The socio-economic conditions of its formation are described. The research base on which the research related to the study of touristic clusters is found is reviewed. It also gives grounds for the possibility of functioning of the ecological and recreational cluster, defines its functions and importance for the development of inbound and domestic tourism, the economy and the social sphere of the region. The zoning of the territory of the Rostov region according to the prevailing types of ecological and recreational clusters is proposed and the specifics of their activities and the development of types of tourism are indicated. 1 Introduction An effective tool for development of socio-economic systems in the sphere of tourism is implementation of a cluster approach that provides harmonization of private and public interests, diversification of risks and improvement of regional potential use. The clustering process is coherent giving a number of management decisions related to the specifics of the industry, participants, location, capacity, and a number of other indicators. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an algorithm to cluster the regional territory and manage development of economic zones on the basis of a systematic approach and with consideration of all factors, which have an effect on this process. -

The Politics of Utopia: Intentional Communities as Social Science Microcosms The European Consortium for Political Research Joint Sessions of Workshops 13-18 April 2004 Uppsala, Sweden ABSTRACT: The Donbas – a large old industrial region in the Ukrainian-Russian Cossack borderland – constitutes a particular intentional community. According to earlier positive accounts, it was a space, the open steppe, a frontier land, a fugitive’s paradise, where the notions of and desires for freedom and dignifying labour had been realised. According to its current negative associations, the Donbas is an allegedly realised utopia of an ‘anti-modern’ community, dominated by a ‘criminal-political nexus’ of terrorising mafia gangs and political clans. Proposals for new MPUs are developed analytical models; and the technological structures of machine aggregates based on the MPUs of the fth Stochastic process; generation of classes 3, 5{6 and 8, to determine their technical schemes, are determined. -

Russian Place-Names of 'Hidden' Or 'Indirect' Scottish Origin
Russian place-names of ‘hidden’ or ‘indirect’ Scottish origin (the case of Hamilton – Khomutov) Alexander Pavlenko and Galina Pavlenko In Russia there are numerous toponyms going back to personal or place names of western European origins. This phenomenon resulted from several waves of massive immigration from the West, first to Muscovite Rus’ and later, in greater numbers, to the Russian Empire. Among the immigrants, most of whom originated from Germany, there was quite a number of Scotsmen – active participants in all the major historical events in both Western and Eastern Europe. The first Scotsmen in Russia, called Shkotskie Nemtsy (literally ‘Scottish Germans’) by locals, belonged to the military class and came to this country either as mercenaries or prisoners of war in the late sixteenth century in the reign of Ivan the Terrible. Most of them were captured during the Livonian War and continued their military service in the Russian troops (Anderson 1990: 37). In the seventeenth century with the accession of the Romanovs dynasty to the throne, Scotsmen started to arrive in Russia in ever increasing numbers. Some of those who abandoned their motherland, driven by circumstances managed to inscribe their names in Russian history as prominent soldiers, engineers, doctors, architects, etc. Scottish mercenaries and adventurers considered the remote Russian lands to be a place where they could build their career and hopefully make a fortune. Of course, as is well known, Russia was only one of a multitude of destinations which Scotsmen sought to reach. The late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries saw a more abundant influx of Scots due to the Petrine reforms and a high demand for foreign professionals in all fields (Dukes 1987: 9–23; Cross 1987: 24–46). -

Selected Dry & Liquid cargo vessels registered under the Russian Federation Flag involved in incidents between March 2019 and March 2020. In the period from March 2019 to March 2020, 84 vessels (tankers, bulk carriers, general cargo vessels, barges) registered under the flag of the Russian Federation were involved in incidents of various nature and degree. Among the major incidents are problems and failure of the ship’s main engine, fires and explosions, grounding, collisions. AVATAR (Russian Federation) Product tanker Avatar (2966 gt, built 1990), after leaving the port of Kurilsk, became disabled in thick ice, nine nautical miles off the coast of Iturup, Russia, today. The vessel had delivered products, building material, and fuel to the Russian port of Kurilsk, in late February. After unloading and leaving the port, the vessel became too light for the multi-metre thick ice, and has become stranded, being unable to manoeuvre. An icebreaker is expected to reach the vessel in 48 hours, assuming favourable weather conditions. General cargo with container capacity ST Wind is also in a similar condition in the same location. Natural factors play an important role in the formation of the chemical composition and allocation of hydrogeochemical classes of groundwater in the Lower Don basin. The most resistant to human effects are groundwater of Sarmatian complex. The prospect of improving the quality of drinking water supply is associated with the involvement of groundwater in water management, but they are characterized by high hardness. Groundwater is influenced by geology, climate, biology, soil, and etc. Understanding the groundwater regime and pathways is essential because groundwater join and mixes with river water. 1 Introduction Groundwater is an essential source of quality drinking water in lower part of Don region. The formation of groundwater is caused by various factors. Groundwater here is directly related to surface waters predominantly recharged by the Don river bank infiltration. Understanding the groundwater regime and pathways is essential because groundwater join and mixes with river water. Groundwater is influenced by geology, climate, biology, soil, and etc. These changes are reflected in the formation of groundwater. One of the main factors are precipitation. However, the formation of their regime is significantly influenced not only by the vertical water exchange through the aeration zone, but also by the lateral redistribution of water occurring in heterogeneous layers with different filtration properties. The complex influence of all the regime-forming factors causes a large variety of regimes recorded at different sites, and the instability of the regime for each time series. -
