Servizio sicurezza / Sis investigazioni Servizio macchinista e allestimenti tecnici / JUJI Fotografo / Marco Signoretti Video / Le Fucine Tutti gli eventi sono organizzati nel rispetto delle normative anticovid Quattro anni fa, quando è nata l’idea di Suoni Controvento a Costacciaro, Sigillo e Fossato di Vico, si è pensato ad un festival della fascia appenninica del Monte Cucco e della grande comunità culturale che la popola. Con il coinvolgimento di Gualdo Tadino e Scheggia e Pascelupo, il progetto ha unito tutta la dorsale appenninica nord-orientale umbra. Si è capito allora che Suoni Controvento poteva trasformarsi da progetto a modello, una via per scoprire il vasto ambiente naturale che circonda i borghi umbri e che rappresenta una miniera di emozioni da esplorare passo dopo passo. Seguendo la geografia regionale si è arrivati a Trevi e Campello sul Clitunno con la fascia olivata, quindi a Norcia, con lo scenario di Forca Canapine, a Narni con il Parco Fluviale sul Nera, a Terni con i resti archeologici di Carsulae e i “Libri in cammino” sui Monti Martani, ad Assisi con il Monte Subasio e ancora ai suggestivi vigneti del Sagrantino e del Grechetto.

This album was “Gerry Mulligan & Astor Piazzolla”. But it was through “Song for Strayhorn” (Carnegie Hall concert CTI album) I fell in love with the music of Gerry Mulligan. My impressions were: “How great this man is to be able to compose so nicely!, to improvise so marvellously! and to give us such feelings!” Step by step my interest for the music increased I bought regularly his albums and I became crazy from the Concert Jazz Band LPs. Then I appreciated the pianoless Quartets with Bob Brookmeyer (The Pleyel Concerts, which are easily available in France) and with Chet Baker. Just married with Danielle, I spent some days of our honey moon at Antwerp (Belgium) and I had the chance to see the Gerry Mulligan Orchestra in concert. After the concert my wife said: “During some songs I had lost you, you were with the music of Gerry Mulligan!!!” During these 30 years of travel in the music of Jeru, I bought many bootleg albums. One was very important, because it gave me a new direction in my passion: the discographical part. This was the album “Gerry Mulligan – Vol. 2, Live in Stockholm, May 1957”.

    T Conservatorio di Musica “Santa Cecilia” Roma con i patrocini di Comune di Rovigo Assessorato alla Cultura in collaborazione con L’ISMEZ è lieto di presentarvi la VIa edizione del progetto Mu- sic Live: i giovani x i giovani. L’idea portante di questa edizione di Music Live è quella di me- scolare strumenti e linguaggi apparentemente distanti tra loro ma che, al contrario, nella realizzazione pratica del progetto mostrano affinità sonore che rendono perfettamente compatibili strumenti e tecniche di esecuzione. Questa nuova edizione di Music Live è incentrata quindi sulla ‘contaminazione’: contaminazione di linguaggi con provenien- ze culturali diverse, di suoni (strumenti classici e strumenti jazz), di stili, contaminazioni di tecniche esecutive, di colori… a cia- scuno dei 12 Conservatori aderenti al progetto 2016 (4 del Sud Italia: Avellino, Foggia, Monopoli, Salerno; 4 del Centro: Firenze, Frosinone, Pescara, Roma, e 4 del Nord: Bologna, Ge- nova, Milano, Rovigo) è stato chiesto di elaborare un program- ma musicale ‘ibrido’ che mescolasse e confondesse la musica classica con la contemporanea e il jazz. Il risultato è quello che vi presentiamo in questi concerti: ascolterete un brano compo- sto da uno studente della cattedra di composizione, dei brani del repertorio classico arrangiati in chiave jazz e contempora- nea e, infine, dei brani originali dei docenti e dei solisti ospiti. Anche i 12 Ensemble sono frutto di ‘contaminazione’: allievi di ‘classica’ (scelti fra i migliori allievi delle cattedre di strumen- to), allievi del dipartimento di jazz e allievi del dipartimento di composizione, mescolati ad hoc per Music Live. Gli Ensemble, guidati e formati dai docenti di ciascun Con- servatorio e dal solista ospite, danno vita sia a una tournée di 36 concerti che toccha le 12 città di appartenenza, sia a una ‘Finale’ d’eccezione, che si svolgerà dal 14 al 17 dicembre a Roma presso la Casa del Jazz, partner del progetto.

The fact that several individuals who were part of setting up the association - John Cumming, Huub van Riel, Francesco Martinelli, Filippo Bianchi, Giambattista Tofoni, Pompeo Benincasa - were present was celebrated as a testimony to the resilience of the organisation and its allegiance to its original aims and spirit.

    JAVIER GIROTTO TRIO TANGO NUEVO REVISITED Era da tempo che volevo contattare l’etichetta discografica tedesca ACT, una delle più importanti nell’ambito jazzistico mondiale. Quando finalmente ho scritto a Siegfried Loch, fondatore e produttore di ACT, lui mi ha risposto accettando la collaborazione per un nuovo progetto con già una sua idea ben precisa in testa: registrare nuovamente il disco che consolidò l’incontro tra Astor Piazzolla e il jazzista Gerry Mulligan. Inciso nel 1974, il disco ebbe titoli diversi, in base al paese in cui veniva distribuito: ”SUMMIT”, ”TANGO NUEVO” e “REUNION CUMBRE”, quest’ultimo titolo scelto per l’Argentina. Siggi Loch è molto legato da profondo affetto a questo importante lavoro, incontro del tango con il mondo del jazz, avendone curato la produzione e la distribuzione su scala mondiale. Da parte mia, la sua richiesta mi è sembrata inizialmente un po’ strana, non potendo decidere o fare uno dei miei progetti consolidati con musica da me composta. Pian piano però l’idea propostami ha cominciato a prendere forma e “gusto” nella mia testa: in fondo “REUNION CUMBRE” ha segnato la mia crescita musicale, Piazzolla e Mulligan sono stati fonte di ispirazione sia per comporre che per suonare. Mi sono cosi convinto che l’intuizione di Siggi era giusta per me. L'organico che ho scelto è sax baritono, bandoneon e pianoforte con elettronica. Con questo spirito cameristico, si è scelto di dare più apertura all’improvvisazione e spazio ad ogni solista. Un mix plastico di Sonic Youth e del Miles Davis parte integrante dello stile. brani suggestivi e mai banali.
