For 17 days and nights each spring, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with a dizzying array of performances of opera, theater, dance, and music. Every year, the Festival welcomes a wide range of groups, including tour groups, businesses, non-profit organizations, clubs, alumni associations, and friends and family who enjoy socializing and attending Festival events together.

OPERA GOLDEN DRAGON WATER PUPPET THEATRE One of Vietnam’s cultural treasures, these traditional puppets PARADISE INTERRUPTED perform with live music in a specially constructed pool. A vast garden grows before your eyes in this world premiere opera by artist Jennifer Wen Ma and composer Huang Ruo. WHEN IT RAINS A dark comedy, social satire, and heartbreaking drama, this story depicts how misfortune changes relationships between the closest of people.
