Archbishop Nichols of Westmin- ster (above), who was in Glasgow on Tuesday for the annual meeting of the presidents and vice-presidents of the Bishops’ Conferences of England and Wales, Ireland and Scotland, said he is ‘deeply moved’ by Pope Francis’ announcement that he will be created a cardinal at the Vatican next month.
