PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ADESA Partners with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to Pilot Next Evolution of Simulcast Sale Hosts Exclusive Livestreaming Sale from Four Locations as Part of FCA Inaugural CPOV Meeting CARMEL, Ind. – September 19, 2019 – ADESA, a business unit of global automotive remarketing and technology solutions provider KAR Auction Services Inc. (NYSE: KAR), partnered with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to pilot an ADESA Simulcast sale outside of the physical auction sale-day environment. As part of FCA’s inaugural national CPOV (certified preowned vehicle) dealer meeting, vehicles were launched into auction from four ADESA auction locations — ADESA Golden Gate, ADESA Indianapolis, ADESA Kansas City and ADESA Las Vegas. FCA CPO dealers attending the event were able to participate in fast, live bidding action. “We were extremely pleased to work with our strong partners at FCA to demonstrate the powerful potential of ADESA Simulcast to this sophisticated and tech savvy group of dealers,” said John Hammer, ADESA president. “ADESA Simulcast allows us to bring the auction right to our dealers — exposing sellers to a broader buyer base and helping buyers access the hard-to- find inventory they need. We were honored to pilot this with FCA and to add to the excitement and energy of their annual meeting.” Launched earlier this year, ADESA Simulcast is a cloud-based auction solution that allows dealers to participate virtually in multiple in-lane sales occurring in any location. As part of ADESA Simulcast, participating dealers can easily access detailed condition reports, photos, valuation tools and transportation options for purchased vehicles. The FCA sale was the first use of the technology to launch from multiple sites in a non-sale-day environment to a defined, exclusive group of dealers. -

Williams BMW FW26 Technical Review by Craig Scarborough Image Credit:Scarborough Even though McLaren had run their new car in December testing, their decision not to formally launch the car gave the privilege to Williams BMW to put on their new suits (and boots) and be the first to present their car to the world's media. For several years Williams have produced evolutionary cars and with engine rule changes and car that by the seasons end in 2003 was as fast as any, little was expected to surprise on the new car. But this was wide of the mark as the cover was drawn from the car the sharp intake of breath from the audience reflected striking nose of the new car. Clearly Williams conventional, if independent school of aerodynamics has found a completely new solution. If the nose rightly takes the spotlight, other areas of the car remain conservative with some areas revised and not receiving the attention they perhaps deserve. 2004 Rules Aside from the timetable changes to the practice and qualifying sessions, there have been few technical changes for 2004. Of these the most far reaching has been the move to a single engine per weekend format. Under previous rules precautionary engine changes were over night or following a failure, resulting in up to a handful of engine being used per car over a race weekend. With most of the teams support the FIA suggested a single engine could be used to reduce costs, applying a "10 grid place" penalty to any car requiring an engine change over the weekend. -

The legendary Lancia Stratos HF was without a doubt the most spectacular and successful rally car of the 70s. With its thrilling lines and uncompro- mising design tailored to rally use, the Stratos not only single-handedly rewrote the history of rallying, it won a permanent place in the hearts of its countless fans with its dramatic performance on the world’s asphalt and gravel tracks – a performance which included three successive world championship titles. For Michael Stoschek, a collector and driver of historic racing cars, as well as a successful entrepreneur in the automotive supply industry, the development and construction of a modern version of the Stratos represents the fulfillment of a long-held dream. Back in 2003, the dream had already begun to take on a concrete form; now, at last, it has become a reality: In November 2010, forty years after the Stratos’ presentation at the Turin Motor Show, the New Stratos will be publicly presented for the first time at the Paul Ricard Circuit. The legend returns. NEW 3 A retrospective. It all began in 1970, at the Turin exhibition stand of the automobile designer, Bertone. The extreme Stratos study on display there – a stylistic masterpiece by the designer Marcello Gandini – didn’t just excite visitors, but caught the attention of Cesare Fiorio, Lancia’s team manager at the time… and refused to let go. -

They were only ever on sale at the circuit, and were sold to raise funds for things going on in Silverstone Village. Being sold on the circuit gave them access to some very hard to find signatures, as you can see from this initial selection.
