Christmas in Sweden To the Swedes, with their extremely deep feeling for tradition, Christmas has a very special meaning. Just the word Christmas calls up memories of : deep snow, sleigh parties to the early Christmas Morning Service, Lucia Parties with their special fragrance of saffron buns and coffee, and the devine smell of many dishes prepared for Christmas from the beginning of December to the big day... The Swedish Smorgasbord is famous all over the world. It was originally intended as elaborate hors d’oeuvres but who would be able to eat a hearty main dish afterwards and still have room for dessert! The idea is not to pile on your plate, but to make several trips to truly enjoy these traditional Swedish Dishes! The Mallozzi Family and Executive Chef Larry Schepici would like to thank CEC Chef Anders Faltskog , CEC Chef Paul Dolan, CEC Chef Scott Cooper, CEC Chef Mark Brucker and the culinary students from the Capital Region Career and Technical School for making this Swedish Christmas Smorgasbord another success !
