Approval of the minutes of the previous sitting The minutes of the previous sitting were approved. The following spoke: Sonia Alfano, to state that she had been absent from the previous part-session, having received an invitation from the United Nations in her capacity as Chair of Parliament's Special Committee on Organised Crime, Corruption and Money Laundering. 19.10.2012 EN Official Journal of the European Union C 316 E/3 Monday 2 July 2012 3. Statement by the President The President made a statement on the recent deposition of President Fernando Lugo and expressed Parliament's concern at the situation. He noted that Parliament would look into the possibility of sending a delegation to Paraguay. 4. Request for the waiver of parliamentary immunity The Austrian authorities had sent Parliament a request for the waiver of the parliamentary immunity of Martin Ehrenhauser in legal proceedings in progress before the Public Prosecutor's Office of Vienna. Pursuant to Rule 6(2), the request had been referred to the committee responsible, the JURI Committee. 5. Request for the defence of parliamentary immunity Clemente Mastella presented his request for the defence of his immunity and privileges in legal proceedings in progress at the Court of Benevento. Under Rule 6(3), the request had been referred to the committee responsible, the JURI Committee. 6. Corrigendum (Rule 216) The committee responsible had forwarded the following corrigendum to a text adopted by Parliament: Corrigendum (P7_TA-PROV(2012)0106(COR01)) to the position of the European Parliament adopted at first reading on 29 March 2012 with a view to the adoption of Regulation (EU) No …/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (P7_TA-PROV(2012)0106 – COM(2010)0484 – C7-0265/2010 – 2010/0250(COD)) ECON Pursuant to Rule 216(4), this corrigendum would be deemed approved unless, within 24 hours, a request was made by a political group or at least 40 Members that it be put to the vote. The corrigendum was available on the Séance en direct site. 7. Interpretation of the Rules of Procedure The President informed the House, under Rule 211(3), of the following interpretation of Rule 156(1), second paragraph, provided by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, which had been consulted on the application of that provision: 'Amendments may be signed electronically as part of a pilot project involving a limited number of parliamentary committees, on condition, first, that the committees participating in the project have given their agreement and, second, that appropriate measures have been put in place to ensure the authenticity of the signatures.' If this interpretation was not contested by a political group or by at least 40 Members (Rule 211(4)) before the opening of the following day's sitting, on Tuesday, 3 July, it would be deemed to have been adopted. Composition of committees and delegations The President had received the following requests for appointments from the GUE/NGL and Verts/ALE Groups: ENVI Committee: Martina Anderson Delegation to the EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee: Martina Anderson AFET Committee: Karim Zéribi ECON Committee: Jean-Paul Besset REGI Committee: Jean-Jacob Bicep to replace Jean-Paul Besset Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly: Jean-Jacob Bicep to replace José Bové Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean: Karim Zéribi Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union: Karim Zéribi. The appointments would be deemed ratified if there were no objections before the approval of these minutes. 9. Signature of acts adopted under the ordinary legislative procedure The President announced that on Wednesday, together with the President of the Council, he would sign the following acts adopted under the ordinary legislative procedure (Rule 74): — Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances, amending and subsequently repealing Council Directive 96/82/EC (00022/2012/LEX - C7-0168/2012 - 2010/0377(COD)) — Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) (recast) (00002/2012/LEX - C7-0167/2012 - 2008/0241(COD)) — Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the export and import of hazardous chemicals (Recast) (00012/2012/LEX - C7-0166/2012 - 2011/0105(COD)) — Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (00008/2012/LEX - C7-0165/2012 - 2010/0250(COD)) — Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the issuance of euro coins (00023/2012/LEX - C7-0164/2012 - 2011/0131(COD)) — Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate of Succession (00014/2012/LEX - C7- 0163/2012 - 2009/0157(COD)) — Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on amendments to the Agreement Establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) extending the geographic scope of EBRD operations to the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (00024/2012/LEX - C7-0162/2012 - 2011/0442(COD)). 19.10.2012 EN Official Journal of the European Union C 316 E/5 Monday 2 July 2012 10. Lapsed written declarations In accordance with Rule 123(5), written declarations 0006/2012, 0008/2012, 0009/2012, 0012/2012, 0013/2012, 0014/2012, 0015/2012 had lapsed as they had not obtained the required number of signa tures. 11. Action taken on Parliament's positions and resolutions The Commission communication on the action taken on the positions and resolutions adopted by Parliament during the March I and II 2012 part-sessions was available on the Séance en direct site. 12.
