Moments Last month set the pace for a very busy and exciting September at our home. Our loyal friends from our were with us again and as always we enjoyed the company and sweet treats from Saint Har- alambos Ladies Philoptochos Society, a group of friends, St. John the Baptist Ladies dietary Philoptochos Society, the women from St. Demetrios of Elmhurst and the Achlatho- kambos Society. It’s always nice to get together with such dedicated groups and friends. Our residents look forward to their monthly visits. We send a special thank you to the SS Peter and Paul Commuinity who brought their festival to us with a wonderful and delicious selection of Greek foods and sweets from their Greekfest on September 10. We also enjoyed attending the Divine Liturgy On Sunday, September 25 at St. Demetrios of Elmhurst. Following the Liturgy we were treated to a wonderful luncheon meal and loukoumades at their fall fest. Our facility also hosted a party in honor of Mexican Independence Day. Residents and staff danced in the rhythm of Mexican singers. Traditional food was prepared and served. As every month we went to Demetri’s restaurant and Papagalino for Greek coffee. The weather was perfect for our outings so we grabbed the chance and spent as much time as possible by the nature. We especially enjoyed our outings to the Senior Center which were mu- sical and informative which ended with a wrap-up party on the 29th.
