She can currently be seen as Virtue in Anything Goes at Goodspeed Musicals (directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Kelli Barclay), where she also teaches for Goodspeed's Arts Education Program. Her credits include 10 seasons as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall and on tour, Joey McKneely's West Side Story world tour (Consuelo & Anita/Rosalia understudy), Spokesperson and Lead Public Relations Rockette for Norwegian Cruise Line/Rockettes partnership, and 16 productions in her hometown at the St. Louis Muny, including their most recent production of Oklahoma! featuring choreography from Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. Karilyn lives and works in New York City as a dancer, actor, singer, private lesson instructor, and has even served as group dance teacher for the Rockettes. Her career has allowed her to work with choreographers such as Gemze de Lappe, Susan Stroman, Ginger Thatcher, Kelli Barclay, Mercedes Ellington and Robert L. Reed. Karilyn has assisted New York master ballet pedagogues and choreographers Madame Gabriela Darvash and Kat Wildish, who are also two of her greatest mentors. Karilyn has a BPA in dance performance (summa cum laude) from Oklahoma City University with a focus on pedagogy and history. She is also a proud member of the performers' unions AEA, SAG-AFTRA, AGMA, and AGVA. Karilyn shares her experiences and love for dance history with her students while encouraging an environment where students feel liberated to explore their art. It is not simply choreography the dancers receive, it is also the freely given professional anecdotes and coaching the dancers experience through learning and rehearsing with Karilyn. She received her BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, where she performed in works by Murray Louis, Paul Taylor, Jacqueline Buglisi, and Anna Sokolow. She continued on, dancing for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as Dance Captain aboard the Monarch of the Seas. The next few years were spent as Director of The Malibu Civic Ballet and teaching throughout the Los Angeles area, while dancing with both the Santa Monica Contemporary Ballet and the Los Angeles Ballet Theatre. Jennifer then headed east, where she joined the Lydia Johnson Company in New York and continued to teach all around the tristate area. In 2010 she joined Prometheus Dance based in Cambridge Ma. Jennifer spent the last three years teaching at Bridgewater State University and has a Masters of Fine Arts at Hollins University. With her training Jenn is also an avid tapper and acrobatics teacher, training with the likes of Jeff Shade and Andrew J Nemr. As a tap teacher Jenn has had several of her students make and win as members of the National Tap Team. Growing up in Putnam County New York, she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical and modern at Pinewood School of Dance and The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance. She was a member of the Pinewood School of Dance Competition Company, Ridgefield Civic Ballet and Ridgefield Jazz Ensemble. As a student, Ashley performed in the “Nutcracker Ballet” with the Moscow Ballet, Danbury Music Center and Ridgefield Conservatory for 12 years in roles including Snow Queen and Dew Drop. Ashley was introduced to hip hop dance when she joined the Carmel High School dance team, with whom she won many awards including NDA All- American honors. At the age of 15 she discovered her true talent, teaching, when she was asked to be a teaching assistant while training at the American Academy of Ballet. Ashley attended Manhattanville College on a dance scholarship and graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Dance & Theatre, with a minor in Psychology. At Manhattanville, Ashley worked with choreographers including Andrei Kisselev, Neta Pulvermacher and Peter Pucci. She was a member of the Manhattanville Dance Troupe and a captain for two years. Her choreography won the team three first place awards. Professionally, Ashley was a featured dancer in Athena Reich’s music video, “The Logical Song,” for MTV’s LOGO, performed in a televised flash mob in Times Square produced by Cirque du Soleil and danced for five seasons with MCD, Mooney Cooley Dance in New York City, but her main focus is her teaching career. Ashley has been teaching, coaching and choreographing around the Westchester area for 10 years. Her choreography has won numerous awards but her favorite so far is winning "Overall Most Entertaining" six competitions in a row!
