The parts in italic are the alterations suggested by Telstra. On Sunday 20th August there were four representatives from Telstra present at the markets to answer community questions and concerns about the mobile reception tower which is situated at the corner of Oallen Ford Road and Windellama Road, opposite the Windellama Hall. The tower was presented as commissioned on 28th June and three levels of government, Federal, State & Local were on location for the photo shoot. It is fair to say, that since then, there has been a level of disappointment throughout the community at the mobile signal performance generated by the tower. Put simply, if you are more that 5k from the tower, you will be getting no signal at all. Since the tower has been installed, there is now more than 100 square kilometres of enhanced coverage.
