station pro files 2012 introduction The purpose of this reference document is to provide factual profiles of all 24 fire stations under the responsibility of the Cheshire Fire Authority. Each station profile gives an overview of the station location, facilities and capabilities, activities within the local community, along with some analysis of response to incidents. The data used for this are validated records held in our Incident Recording System relating to defined station areas and are based on the three financial years 2009/10, 10/11 and 11/12, unless otherwise stated. Each fire station has a station number, but please note that there are no stations numbered 7, 14 or 21. © Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, 2012 contents Stations 01 Warrington 1 02 Birchwood 3 03 Stockton Heath 5 04 Widnes 7 05 Runcorn 9 06 Frodsham 11 08 Ellesmere Port 13 09 Chester 15 10 Tarporley 17 11 Malpas 19 12 Nantwich 21 13 Audlem 23 15 Crewe 25 16 Sandbach 27 17 Holmes Chapel 29 18 Congleton 31 19 Macclesfield 33 20 Bollington 35 22 Poynton 37 23 Wilmslow 39 24 Knutsford 41 25 Northwich 43 26 Middlewich 45 27 Winsford 47 Warrington Fire Station Winwick Road Description of station Community Activities Warrington WA2 8HH 01 Located on Winwick Road, close to Warrington’s busy Over the past four decades, the site has become a town centre, popular retail parks, rugby stadium and community fire station in the truest sense of the word. links to the motorway network, the fire station was Its annual open days and Fire Fighter Charity car officially opened in the summer of 1968. washes always attract a crowd and the site is also well- It is a two-storey building with five appliance bays, a used by numerous local groups. community room and training facilities.
