Työn toisena tavoitteena on osoittaa, miten yritys pystyy hyödyntämään videonjakopalvelu Youtubea omassa liiketoiminnassaan muiden markkinoinnin keinojen avulla. Sisällön on oltava merkityksellistä asiakkaan kannalta. Avainsanat youtube, sisältömarkkinointi, sosiaalinen media Abstract -

There were drones that you could code and fly. Also if you went to Hopewell Elementary there was a computer teacher. Her name was Mrs.Daly who was helping with computers to go on code.org, which is a coding site. You can have cookies there and they were delicious. Also you can make a little tiny spaceship that was cool. There was paper and cardboard to make the spaceship, and this guy was there and he pumped it up air and you have to push a button to launch it. It was pretty fun. So that is it from the Steam Walk. Exploring Informal Archival Practices
35 Susan Aasman Finding Traces in YouTube’s Living Archive: Exploring Informal Archival Practices Abstract This article addresses the challenges that media historians face when they aim to reconstruct the early history of YouTube. Since the platform is constantly adapting its policies, there is a great level of uncertainty as to what is still there or what is no longer traceable. Therefore, addressing the question if and/or how YouTube can be understood as an archive is crucial and, in addition, the issue of how YouTube related content can be used as historical sources. Although many people, including media scholars, treat YouTube like an online open access archive, there are reasons to be cautious. The article will explore strategies dealing with formal but also with informal web archival practices. These informal archival practices concern users who curate early YouTube videos, user profiles and comments or even old layout versions of the website. Developing methods that critically acknowledges user-generated archival prac- tices, and uses the insights of early generation of users’ reconstructions of the platform’s his- tory, even if it might seem anecdotal evidence, can lead to deeper knowledge of that early community. By actively participating in reconstructing YouTube’s recent past these users shape nostalgic narratives while they also collect and share useful information that guide historians finding new traces. KEYWORDS: YouTube history, web archaeology, digital archives, amateur, informal archival practices On April 23, 2005 the first video ever on YouTube was uploaded by Jawed Karim, one of the founders of the website. During that year, ‘Jawed’, as his username was, would upload some sixty more video clips. -

Commissioner Ajit Pai Before the Churchill Club
REMARKS OF FCC COMMISSIONER AJIT PAI BEFORE THE CHURCHILL CLUB PALO ALTO, CA JULY 17, 2015 Ten years ago, Jawed Karim stood in front of the elephant exhibit at the San Diego Zoo and was filmed uttering these immortal words: “The cool thing about these guys is they have really, really, really, long trunks.” The resulting video, entitled Me at the Zoo, became the first ever uploaded to YouTube, which Karim co-founded. From my perspective, the fact that YouTube got its start with elephants rather than donkeys was a good omen of what was to come. Me at the Zoo ends with Karim claiming, “that’s pretty much all there is to say.” But that certainly was not the case with Internet video. In the intervening decade, over-the-top video has dramatically reshaped the media marketplace and redefined entertainment for the American people. While YouTube began with that 19-second clip, today 300 hours of video are uploaded to that platform each minute. Much of this content is personal—I myself have posted videos of my two children so that family members in India can watch them grow up. Other YouTube videos are professional productions with broader appeal. For example, DreamWorks Animation is the majority owner of AwesomenessTV, a multi-channel network producing high-end content with popular characters like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. Of course, user-generated platforms like YouTube are just one way consumers watch online video. Subscription video-on-demand companies like Netflix have revolutionized the video marketplace, giving birth to the phenomenon of “binge watching.” Netflix started its online streaming service in 2007. -

In early 2009, YouTube registered the domain www. The increasing copyright infringement problems and lack in commercializing YouTube eventually led to outsourcing to Google who recently had just failed in their own video platform.
