Ø Exhibition: Sarasvati Heritage Yatra with Moving Exhibition from Pipli, KU, Jyotisar, Murtjapur, Pehowa, Gumthala Garu, Kayodaki to Kaithal from 11.2.2016 to 12.2.2016. Ø International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav-2016 at Kurukshetra from 6th to 10th December, 2016 at Purushottampura Bagh at Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra. Year 2017: Ø Exhibition: Sarasvati Heritage Yatra with Moving Exhibition commencing on 28.1.2017 from Adi Badri Yamuna Nagar, Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad & concluded on 1.2.2017 at Sirsa. Ø The exhibition organized by Granth Academy at Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector-5, Panchkula during the month of March- 2017. Ø Haryana International Trade Expo 2017 from 24th -28th March, 2017 at Faridabad. Ø India International Trade Fair-2017 in the month of October, 2017 Ø International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav-2017 at Kurukshetra from 25th to 30th November, 2017 at Purushottampura Bagh at Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra. Hon’ble President of India Sh. Ram Nath Kovind seeing Sarasvati Project with Hon’ble Governor Haryana & CM Haryana at Kurukshetra. Year 2018: Ø Exhibition: Sarasvati Heritage Yatra with Moving Exhibition commencing on 18.1.2018 from Adi Badri, Yamuna Nagar, Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra & concluded on 22.1.2018 at Pehowa and another Sarasvati Yatra commencing on 19.1.2018 from Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Kaithal and concluded on 22.1.2018 at Pehowa. Ø Permanent Exhibition at Adi Badri. Ø International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav-2018 at Kurukshetra from 13th to 17th December, 2018 at Purushottampura Bagh at Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra. Year 2019: Ø Parvasi Bharatiya Divas-2019 at Varanasi, India. Ø International Sarasvati Mahotsav (ISM)-2019 at Pehowa. c. To build the cultural relation between India and Australia. Australian Delegates was invited by the Hon'ble CM-cum- Chairman, Haryana in International Gita jayanti-2016 from 6th - 10th December, 2016 to build t h e c u l t u r a l relation between t w o N a t i o n s . The Australian d e l e g a t i o n headed by Sh. David Ridgway M.L.C, Shadow M i n i s t e r f o r Tourism along with Ms. Loretta Joseph Director/Advisor Sydney Stock Exchange has visited on 07.09.2016 on this occasion. It was agreed by delegates of Australia Government to adopt a village as a pilot project to be funded by Government of Australia for developing it into a model village to show case Australian Technology in the eld of Waste Water Management, Information Technology, Transportation, Solar Technology in rural areas in view of Sarasvati river Rejuvenation project under taken by Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board. The delegation also agreed to explore the possibilities in tie up and start exchange program of the students from the Australian Universities and Universities of the Haryana State or vice-versa, in the eld of research work in Sarasvati River Heritage and Civilization, Archaeology, Geology, Hydrology, Indological studies etc. d. Constructed Ghats (including 2 ladies Ghats) at Pehowa Tirath. a. Development Works of Sarasvati Tirath Pehowa i. Arranged perennial ow fresh water for Ghats through pipeline from Narwana Branch Jhansa Head to Pehowa Tirath. ii. Construction of Stone Pitching on side slopes and Parikarma Path on left side of Sarasvati Dhara from Kailash Dham to Galedwa Road under Sarasvati Circuit at Pehowa. iii. Construction of Stone Pitching on side slopes and Parikarma Path on both sides of Sarasvati Dhara of Sandholi Drain including 02 No. Ghats of Sarasvati Dhara under Sarasvati Circuit at Pehowa. iv. Construction of Metalled Road on right side of Sarsasvati Dhara from Kailash Dham to Galedwa Road under Sarasvati Circuit at Pehowa. v. Construction of bridges of Sarasvati Tributary near Kailash Dham under Sarasvati Circuit at Pehowa. vi. Construction of bridges of Sarasvati Tributary on Galedwa-Pehowa Road crossing under Sarasvati Circuit at Pehowa. vii. Construction of bridges cum inlet of Sarasvati Tributary near outfall of Sandholi Drain into Sarasvati Drain. b. Renovation of Udgam Sthal of Sarasvati River at Adi Badri. c. Periodic fortnightly visits were carried out to determine the species composition and distribution pattern of birds, phytoplankton and zooplankton. A total number of17 species of birds belonging to 9 orders (Anseriformes, Charadriiformes, Ciconiformes, Coraciifomes, Cuculiformes, Gruiformes, Passeriformes, Pelecaniformes and Psittaciformes) were identified in the study area. Charadriiformes was the most dominant order. The study revealed the presences of 18 species of phytoplankton belonging to Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Euglenophyceae. Bacillariophyceae having 7 species was found to be dominant among all. In case of zooplankton, 11 species were encountered of which 7 were Rotifers, 3 were Cladocera and 1 was Copepoda. Water samples were collected and were being tested for certain water quality parameters. The results revealed that the samples were unable to reach the required standards which is harmful to human skin. So, there is a great necessity to look over the problem and provide proper alternative to avoid deterioration of water quality and protect deities from illness. One of the most popular reasons for a pilgrimage to Kurukshetra is to attain the highest merit by taking a holy dip in the sacred tanks of Braham Sarovar and Sannehit Sarovar and thereby attaining ‘Moksha’ or salvation. According to Matsya, Vamana and Padma Purans, if an individual takes a holy dip in the sacred tanks of Kurukshetra on the occasion of Solar Eclipse he attains the merits of thousands of Ashvamedha Yajna. On the occasion of Somavati Amavasya (First day of the new moon falling on Monday) and on Solar Eclipse (on a new moon day as the moon comes in between Sun and Earth, thereby causing eclipse of the Sun) pilgrims from all walks of life assemble at these holy tanks. The age old celebration of this occasion also suggests the astronomical knowledge that was known to the ancient Indians, about this celestial wonder. The Mahabharata connects the eclipses of the Sun and the Moon to the episodes of the churning of the ocean, when the ambrosia pot was carried by Vishnu in the form of Mohini, who started distributing it to the gods. Rahu, a demon sat in line with the Devas and also took ambrosia. When the ambrosia had already reached the throat of Rahu, Surya and Chandrama, both recognized the demon and informed the gods of his impersonation / Lord Vishnu, immediately with his chakra cut off the well adorned head of Rahu.
