-MORE- Global Caribbean’s mission is to showcase contemporary artists from the Caribbean, by placing them in an international context such as the one provided by the major art extravaganza that is Art Basel Miami. In addition, next door at the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance is a show of Contemporary Haitian Textiles featuring works by Jean Joseph Jean-Baptiste and Kongo Laroze.

It has long been the dream of the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance to reunite the in a show of appropriate heft. Global Caribbean II: Caribbean Trilogy is that very show. Global Caribbean is a major project launched and supported by Caraibes en Creation, a program of Culturesfrance, the French Government agency for international cultural exchange. Once again, the Little Haiti Cultural Center has taken the lead by housing Global Caribbean II in their state of the art facilities.

The Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance takes great pride in presenting new works by young Haitian artists, which have caught the attention and imagination of its Directors. These works will be shown in the refurbished office/gallery space adjacent to the Little Haiti Cultural Center. Both of these artists take traditional Haitian textile work to a new level.
