5 Investment Projects Government of the Tyumen region Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen region Institute of entrepreneurship of the Ural Federal District Reference book for investors How to invest in the Tyumen region Tyumen © Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen region, 2007 2007 Message of the Governor of the Tyumen region, Mr V.V. Yakushev Dear Sirs, On behalf of one of the largest Russian regions I am truly pleased to welcome you and offer to your attention the investment potential of the Tyumen region and the most perspective investment projects of our region. The Tyumen region belongs to the number of the most successfully developing regions of Russia and disposes herewith of considerable social-economic and scientific research potential… …The industrial production index was one of the highest among the regions of the Ural Federal District and exceeded significantly the allover Russian rate … …The region is situated advantageously in strategic point of view and a connecting link between the eastern and the western territories of the country, the oil and gas North and industrial Ural. The Transsiberian main line and highways of federal value pass through its territory. There is an international airport and large Tyumen and Tobolsk river ports. Supply of resources, required for the development of oil and gas complex in the north of the region, is carried out, mostly, through the south of the region … … Lately substantial growth of goods and services’ production has been achieved in the majority of branches of the regional economics. In 2005, in comparison with the year 2000, the gross regional product (in correlated prices) increased of 45%, the industrial production volume - by 1,5 times, whereas fixed capital stock investments increased by 2,6 times, and agricultural gross output – by 1,3 times. Attraction of investments to the regional economics represents one of the regional authorities’ major activities … …In the region foundations of legal, infrastructure and informational base to attract investments were created; a guarantee mechanism was worked out to protect investors’ rights. The regional law “About the state support and investment activity in the Tyumen region” was adopted … …The Government is ready to assist in granting land lots and other real estate items, which are in the ownership of the region. I would like to stress the idea, that in this situation Russian and foreign investors are in equal conditions. Development of processing industries is considered a priority in the regional economic policy. Nowadays we pay much attention to the development of tourist business using both historical- cultural memorials and a variety of natural-climatic conditions of the territory. The Government of the Tyumen region is open to cooperation with prospective investors, and I am sure, that this will be profitable to our partners and us; stimulate the market filling with qualitative commodities and services and the creation of new working vacancies. I hope, that the presented information will allow you to make a good choice and estimate at true worth the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation. In the Tyumen region you may always reckon on support and understanding. Governor of the Tyumen region, Mr V.V. Yakushev 1. The diesel was loaded on 4 May on the 113,300t Dong-A Thetis, owned by the South Korean shipping company Dong-A Tanker. The 100,000t cargo of Rosneft product was sold to trading company Vitol for delivery to the Amsterdam-Rotter- dam-Antwerp region, a market participant says. The Dong-A Thetis was loaded at Russian pipeline crude exports berth 3 or 4 — which can handle crude and diesel following a recent upgrade, and mn b/d can accommodate 90,000-150,000t vessels with 15.5m draught. 6.0 Transit crude Russian crude It remains unclear whether larger loadings at Primorsk will become a regular 5.0 occurrence. “Smaller 50,000-60,000t cargoes are more popular and the terminal 4.0 does not always have the opportunity to stockpile larger quantities of diesel for 3.0 export,” a source familiar with operations at the outlet says. Even in peacetime, goods sat on the docks at Vladivostok for months at a time, awaiting a break in the snarled logistics window. In winter, extensive maintenance is also required…. The lake is so flat that you may hardly be able to make out the horizon in the distance. Take the chance to stretch your legs with a wander around the station during the stop, and stock up on snacks supplies. The actual length of the main passenger route from Moscow to Vladivostok is It's true we hadn't quite grasped the distance, some 5, miles covering seven time zones. Strange Facts About the U. From to construction was completed on a large alternative route, the Baikal- Amur Mainline; its route across areas of taiga, permafrost, and swamps, however, has made upkeep difficult. Severobaikalsk is a key stop on the Baikal-Amur Mainline; it's a gateway to the pristine natural beauty found in the northern areas around Siberia's Lake Baikal. In the Soviet Union, over the years, a number of spur lines have been built radiating from the main trans-Siberian line. The fact that the flight takes this long gives a great sense of just how vast this country truly is! After transport, accommodation was my biggest expense and included 11 nights in hostel dorms and 10 nights in private rooms in guesthouses.
