Is it hard for you to keep track of what you did in Google Play? You uninstalled an app by mistake and you do not remember its name? Let us help you see the history of downloaded applications. Open the Google Play app from the app menu on your Android device. You can also start it from its shortcut if you have created it. Then, tap on the three stripes icon in the upper left corner of the main screen. Access the menu. Choose the option My apps & games . Tap on the Library tab in the new screen. Press on Library. This list will appear all the applications that you have installed from an email account. You can keep scrolling down until you reach the first app you installed. Also, if you tap on the X icon that appears to the right of each application, you will be able to delete it permanently from history. You can also check your history of downloaded apps from the Google Play website. To do this, select Applications in the left column, and then select My apps , in the same column. You can sort the tools by device, by family collection, or view them all together. Perhaps, the record of all the movements made within Google Play does not seem too useful to you, but it can serve you (for example) to reinstall an application that you found useful at some point and you want to download it again. Google Play also lets us see the list of apps you have paid for and those you have rated. However, you should note that all moves must have been made from the same Google Play email account. How to Clear Google Play Store App Download History. Google keeps a complete list of Android apps you’ve downloaded from the Play Store from your account. If you want to clear it, here’s how from your device. Are you looking for a simple way to delete apps from your Google Play Store download history? If you’re running Google Play Store 3.9.16 and above, you can manually clear your download history from your Android device. Clear Google Play Store Download History from Device. Launch the Google Play Store on your Android device, press the menu button and go to My Apps. Swipe your finger from right to left to reveal the All apps section. You’ll see a complete list of every app you’ve downloaded from your Google account — including apps on other Android devices. You can delete previously downloaded apps from the list by tapping the remove icon next to it. You aren’t able to delete apps that are currently installed on your device from here though. If you want to delete multiple apps from the history list, long-press one, and tap to highlight each one you want to be removed and press the delete icon at the top. Delete Google Play App History from Computer. If your Android device isn’t handy, you can delete your app history from your browser from your computer as well. Just go to the My Apps section Google Play Store and log in. Then select your device and click the trashcan icon next to an app, and verify you want to uninstall it. That’s it, you can delete any app you want from your Google Play Store download history. Plus, you can delete your Google Play Store search history too. Google Play for Android. With the Google Play Store app, download apps and games for your Android phone or tablet. The Play Store also serves as an entertainment hub, letting you buy or rent movies, TV shows, books, and music, which you can watch or listen to on your Android device, Chromecast-connected TV, and through the Chrome browser on your Mac or Windows PC. Protects device by vetting apps: Google uses in-store and on-device monitoring to guard against harmful apps. Google claims only 0.05 percent of Android devices that download apps solely from its Play Store have a potentially harmful app. The app also includes Google Play Protect, which periodically scans your device for potentially harmful apps and checks apps before you download them from the Google Play Store. Listen to music for free or with a subscription: Google Play Music offers a competitive alternative to other music services, such as Spotify and Apple Music with personalized playlists and radio stations, podcasts, albums, and individual song tracks you can listen to for free or with a subscription. (Some of the personalization comes from Google's Songza purchase.) A $9.99 monthly individual subscription gives you unlimited skips and an ad-free music stream. And Google seems to be constantly offering a multi-month free trial of Play Music, so you can try it out for free for a few months to see if you like it before paying for it. Watch movies and TV shows: Again, going toe-to-toe with video store competitors Apple and Amazon, Google's Play Movies & TV store lets you purchase or rent films and shows you can watch on your Android phone, computer, or Chromecast-connected TV. You can choose either SD or HD formats (priced accordingly). Share with the family: Through Google's Play Store's Family Library, you can share eligible apps, films, TV shows, games, and eBooks with up to five members of your family. Shop in Google Play through a desktop browser: Of course, you can shop in the Play Store with the Android app, but you can also browse and buy apps and media and manage your account via a browser. Using the browser version is handy, letting you quickly manage your account, view your order history, and find and install new apps. Unfortunately, to check for and install updates, you need to use the app. (If you can't find Google's Play Store on your Android phone, check out our guide for how to locate and enable it.) Google's hands-off approach to apps: While Google talks up security, it seems less concerned about the quality of apps it lets in its store. Popular apps attract copycats -- with deceptively similar names and icons -- and picking out the original among the fakes can be tough. Google Music not included in Family Sharing: Play Music is not part of the Google Play family plan. To share music with five family members, you need a separate $14.99 per month music subscription. Google Play Protect not up to the task: The independent security testing firm AV-Test found Play Protect lagged far behind the top Android antivirus in detecting malware and noted that those relying only on Play Protect to guard their phone are taking an unnecessary risk. Bottom Line. The official Android app store, Google Play also serves as storefront for music, movies, TV shows, eBooks, and magazines. Google Play is bursting with apps, and the company's hands-off approach to policing copycat apps can, at times, make finding the true apps among knockoffs a challenge..

In developing Now Playing, Google’s goal was to create a small, efficient music recognizer which requires a very small fingerprint for each track in the database, allowing music recognition to be run fully on-device without an internet connection. ● As it turns out, Now Playing was not only useful for an on-device music recognizer, but also greatly exceeded the accuracy and efficiency of Google’s then-current server-side system, Sound Search, which was built before the large use of deep neural networks. Naturally, Google wondered if they could bring the same technology that powers Now Playing to the server-side Sound Search, with the goal of making Google’s music recognition capabilities the best in the world. ● Recently, Google introduced a new version of Sound Search that is powered by some of the same technology used by Now Playing. You can use it through the Google Search app or the Google Assistant on any Android Device. Just start a voice query, and if there’s music playing near you, a “What’s this song?” suggestion will pop up just you have to press. You can also ask, “Hey Google, what’s this song?” in the latest version of Sound Search, you’ll get faster, more accurate results than ever before! Google's Next Generation Music Recognition 2 How to set Now Playing on your Device ● If you have used Google to identify a song with your device, you’ve probably seen how to find all those past discoveries.

  • The Role of Emotion and Context in Musical Preference
The Role of Emotion and Context in Musical Preference Yading Song PhD thesis Thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of the University of London School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science Queen Mary, University of London United Kingdom January 2016 Abstract The powerful emotional effects of music increasingly attract the attention of music informa- tion retrieval researchers and music psychologists. In the past decades, a gap exists between these two disciplines, and researchers have focused on different aspects of emotion in music. Music information retrieval researchers are concerned with computational tasks such as the classifica- tion of music by its emotional content, whereas music psychologists are more interested in the understanding of emotion in music. Many of the existing studies have investigated the above issues in the context of classical music, but the results may not be applicable to other genres. This thesis focusses on musical emotion in Western popular music combining knowledge from both disciplines. I compile a Western popular music emotion dataset based on online social tags, and present a music emotion classification system using audio features corresponding to four different musical dimensions. Listeners' perceived and induced emotional responses to the emotion dataset are compared, and I evaluate the reliability of emotion tags with listeners' ratings of emotion using two dominant models of emotion, namely the categorical and the dimensional emotion models. In the next experiment, I build a dataset of musical excerpts identified in a questionnaire, and I train my music emotion classification system with these audio recordings.

  • Merger Policy in Digital Markets: an Ex Post Assessment 3 Study Is to Undertake a Less Common Form of Ex Post Assessment
Journal of Competition Law & Economics, 00(00), 1–46 doi: 10.1093/joclec/nhaa020 MERGER POLICY IN DIGITAL MARKETS: AN EX Downloaded from https://academic.oup.com/jcle/advance-article/doi/10.1093/joclec/nhaa020/5874037 by guest on 18 December 2020 POST ASSESSMENT† Elena Argentesi,∗Paolo Buccirossi,†Emilio Calvano,‡ Tomaso Duso,§,∗ & Alessia Marrazzo,¶ & Salvatore Nava† ABSTRACT This paper presents a broad retrospective evaluation of mergers and merger decisions in markets dominated by multisided digital platforms. First, we doc- ument almost 300 acquisitions carried out by three major tech companies— Amazon, Facebook, and Google—between 2008 and 2018. We cluster target companies on their area of economic activity providing suggestive evidence on the strategies behind these mergers. Second, we discuss the features of digital markets that create new challenges for competition policy. By using relevant case studies as illustrative examples, we discuss theories of harm that have been used or, alternatively, could have been formulated by authorities in these cases. Finally, we retrospectively examine two important merger cases, Facebook/Instagram and Google/Waze, providing a systematic assessment of the theories of harm considered by the UK competition authorities as well as evidence on the evolution of the market after the transactions were approved. We discuss whether the competition authority performed complete and careful analyses to foresee the competitive consequences of the investigated mergers and whether a more effective merger control regime can be achieved within the current legal framework.
