Particulars of these notices are set out in the Table below and the notices are printed immediately after the Table. All the notices are printed (including those whch are not now in force under the Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924-1927), for the reason that proclama­ tions and notices under other Ordinances (e.g. the Pounds Ordinance 1920-1925) define boundaries by reference to town boundaries which have subsequently been altered. Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924. In pursuance of the provisions of the Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924 I, Evan Alexander Wisdom, Administrator of the Territory of New Guinea, do hereby give notice and declare that the boundaries of the Town of Rabaul shall be as hereunder described.

DESCRIPTION. All that piece or parcel of land comprised within the following boundaries:­ "Commencing at a point on the shore of Simpson Harbour being the north-east corner of that portion of land owned and occupied by the Methodist Mission Society at Malakuna, entered in the Ground Book of the Gazelle Peninsula, Vol. 2, Folio 159, and bounded thence on the south-west by the north-east boundary of that portion of land and the production thereof to the north-western side of the main Kokopo road, thence on the north-west by the aforesaid north-western side of that road, bearing north-easterly to its intersection with the south-west side· of the Rataval or North Coast-road, thence on-the south-west by the south-western side of that road bearing north-w~sterlyto the main watershed at Rataval Tunnel. Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924; In pursuance of the provisions of the Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924 I, Evan Alexander Wisdom, the Administrator of the Territory of New Guinea, do hereby give notice and declare Namatanai to ,be a town and that the boundaries of the said Town of Namatanai shall be 'as hereunder described.

DESCRIPTION. All that piece or parcel of land comprised within the following boundaries:­ "Commencingat a point on the shores of Nabuto Bay, being the North-east corner of that piece or parcel of land entered in the Ground Book of New Mecklenberg, Vol .. NOTICE. Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924-1927. WHEREAS by section 3 of the Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924- 1927 it is provided that the Administrator may, by notice published in the New Guinea Gazette, declare any place in the Territory to be a town and set forth and declare the boundaries of any town in the Territory: And whereas by notice dated the 5th day of May, 1924, published in the New Guinea Gazette of the 15th day of May, 1924, the boundaries of the Town of Kavieng were declared: And whereas it is expedient that the boundaries of the Town of Kavieng be amended: Now therefore I, Thomas GrijJiths, the Acting Administrator, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be the Town of Kavieng and that the boundaries set forth in the said Schedltle shall" be the boundaries of that town.

THE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS by section 3 of the Town Boundaries Ordinance 1924- 1927 it is provided that the Administrator may, by notice published in the New Guinea Gazette, declare any place in the Territory to be a town and set forth and declare the boundaries of any town in the Territory: And whereas by notice dated the 9th day of August, 1932, pub­ lished in the New Guinea Gazette of the 15th day of August, 1932, the boundaries of the Town of Kavieng were declared: And whereas it is expedient that the boundaries of the Town of Kavieng be amended: Now therefore I, Thomas Griffiths, the Administrator, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be the Town of Kavieng and that the boundaries set forth in the said Schedule shall be the boundaries of that town.

DESCRIPTION. "All that area being the most Northerly part of the Bchering Peninsula and being pm·t of that area entered in the Ground Book of Friedrich Wilhelmshafen, Vol. 1, Folio 5, as being the Town of Madang, the boundaries and particulars of which are shown delineated on the official plan of such catalogues asM. 7."

4493 TOWNS- in the New Guinea Gazette, declare any place in the Territory to be a town and set forth and declare the boundaries of any town in the Territory: And whereas by a notice dated the 5th May, 1924, published in the New Guinea Gazette of the 15th May, 1924, the boundaries of the Town of Madang were described: And whereas it is expedient that the said boundaries of the said Town of Madang be amended: Now therefore I, David Sydney Wanliss, the Acting Administrator of the Territory of New Guinea, hereby give notice and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be the Town of Madang for the purpose of the said Ordinance.

THE SCHEDULE. "All that piece or parcel of land commencing at a point on the shores of Seeadler Harbour being the North-west corner of that portion of .land known as the Government plantation, and bounded thenc~ on the West by the Western boundary of the aforesaid plantation bearing South to the left bank of the Lorengau River, and bounded thence on the South by a . line bearing East to the Rossum-Lorengau-road, and bounded thence on the East by that road bearing generally nort.herly to the shores of Seeadler Harbour aforesaid, and bounded thence by the shores of that harbour bearing generally Northerly and North­ westerly to the point of commencement."
