Selección Oficial Cypress International Film Festival 2006. 29 SEPTIEMBRE - OCTUBRE 2007 ZATOICHI, EL SAMURAI CIEGO Aunque las nuevas generaciones quizá identifiquen más a Zatoichi, el espadachín ciego, con el homenaje que Takeshi Kitano le dedicara al personaje hace unos años, para el cinéfilo veterano, este nombre no puede ir unido más que a la efigie de Shintaro Katsu, el actor que protagonizara las películas de la serie desde 1962 a 1989, además de diversas series de televisión. Zatoichi ayuda a una mujer embarazada a la que le han robado todas sus posesiones. La mujer muere en el parto y Zatoichi ha de hacerse cargo del niño. Película número 23 de la serie Zatoichi. Sábado 20 / 10/ 2007 ZATOICHI’S CONSPIRACY Dir: Kimiyoshi Yashuda. Con Shintaro Katsu, Yukiyo Toake, Eiji Okada. Japón. 1973. Chambara. Versión original subtitulada: por determinar. Después de 23 años, Zatoichi regresa a su pueblo natal, descubriendo que muy pocos le recuerdan. Al mismo tiempo, se reencuentra con un amigo de su juventud. Película número 25 de la serie Zatoichi. Sábado 27 / 10/ 2007 ZATOICHI: DARKNESS IS HIS ALLEY Dir: Shintaro Katsu. Con Shintaro Katsu, Kanako Higuchi, Takanori Jinnai. Japón. 1989. Chambara. Versión original subtitulada: por determinar. La película narra la historia final de la saga de Zatoichi, con el protagonista enfrentándose a una horda de criminales con la ayuda de viejos amigos, para recuperar el honor. Película número 26 y última de la saga Zatoichi, dirigida por el propio Shintaro Katsu. .

Así pues en este curso 2016-2017, cumplimos 63 (67) años. Las actividades que anualmente realiza el CINECLUB UNIVERSITARIO / AULA DE CINE tienen como objetivo dar a conocer la historia pasada y presente del 7º arte y enseñar las características, posibilidades y riqueza del lenguaje del cine. hiro club news For your cultural life in Hiroshima 招き猫 Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) Ornamental maneki-neko (beckoning cats) have been popular since the middle of the Edo period (1603- 1868) as good-luck talismans. Made of clay, porcelain, papier-mâché, wood, or plastic, they are believed to bring good business to shops and restaurants. They are also often displayed as a sign of welcome in the genkan entrance of houses. The cat is sitting, but its tail is usually not visible. One of its paws is lifted close to its ear. It is beckoning in Japanese style – with the palm facing outward rather than the palm-inward style of Western beckoning. There are two basic types: cats with the right-paw raised are believed to bring good luck in business finance; those with the left-paw raised are for welcoming customers or guests. The length of the paw varies – the longer it is, the greater the reach of fortune. There are a few with both paws raised, but many people steer clear of them saying that it’s not wise to be too greedy. Many maneki-neko are based on a tortoiseshell cat appearance and are painted white with red ears and collars, a color connected with the good health of children (Abstracted from 『ニッポン風物詩』, p63, IBC パブリッシング). This is a large-scale story from the foundation of Tokyo Senmon gakko, the former school of Waseda, in 1882 to The 70’s anniversary ceremony of Waseda in 1952. This film consists of 3 parts. The first part is a story of Shigenobu Okuma, working for school under government oppression. (The actor is quite similar to Okuma!) The second part is mainly a story of Genichi, who is a Waseda student, living in the boarding house called Sanseikan in 1915. The third part is mainly a story about Keikichi who is the son of Genichi during World War II. .Soon after he enters Waseda, he goes to war under the student mobilization order. By the air raid on May 1945, Waseda is burned down. After the war, students c ome back to school. However, Waseda keeps facing difficulties. This film is a fiction but historically accurate, so you may feel like you are the student of old days.
