Providence, guided by sixth-year head coach Bob Deraney, tied #8-ranked Princeton, at Union College’s Messa Rink Schenectady, New York 4-4 on Saturday, but lost 4-1 on Sunday. 25&27 NCAA Frozen Four at UNH’s Whittemore Center, The Huskies of Northeastern owned a 1-2 record prior to Wednesday night’s game at #7th- Durham, New Hampshire ranked University of New Hampshire. Guided by second-year head coach Laura Schuler, Northeastern shutout Quinnipiac, 3-0, in Boston on October 26. The Lakers out shot Clarkson, 35-16. McDonald posted 31 saves for the Knights. Both teams were 1-of-5 on the power play. The Lakers also recorded a shorthanded tally.
