The aims of the present work were to identify and characterize the species of Apocynaceae s. str. occurring in the Carrancas region, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Collections were performed from 1997 to 2000 and regional representative collections were also examined. A arquitetura, no entanto, foi a maior beneficiada de seu talento de artista. Com Athos, a arte se amálgama na parceria de anos com vários profissionais que desenharam a arquitetura contemporânea brasileira, como Oscar Niemeyer, Hélio Uchoa, Milton Ramos, Sérgio Bernardes, Glauco Campello, Sérgio Parada e João da Gama Filgueiras Lima (Lelé). Foi, contudo, com este último que a simbiose entre arte e arquitetura se fez mais presente, a ponto de não sabermos mais se foi a arte que condicionou a arquitetura ou vice-versa. A parceria com Lelé, iniciada em Brasília em 1959, gerou um conjunto de criações que se estende do mobiliário arquitetônico (divisórias, biombos, portas e muros) aos painéis abstratos geométricos. Elas trazem vida aos ambientes internos dos hospitais da Rede Sarah Kubitschek, dos Tribunais de Contas da União e nos inúmeros projetos desenvolvidos com a técnica da argamassa armada: creches, escolas passarelas, equipamentos urbanos, etc.

    Expondré un panorama de la arquitectura brasileña contemporánea, que no pretende ser completo, es más bien una selección que comienza con algunos supuestos, de algunas ideas sobre obras que retratan el pro- blema de la construcción, de la tectónica, o del propósito de hacer una expresión arquitectónica a partir de algunas características brasileras; relacionadas al clima, la luz, reivindicando la arquitectura moderna bra- sileña que en los años cincuenta y sesenta, principalmente con Brasilia (y la experiencia de la creación de la nueva capital para el país), inventó y logró alcanzar una arquitectura con una cierta autonomía conceptual 1 frente a algunos propósitos del Movimiento Moderno internacional. 1 Panorama de la Arquitectura Brasileña . Hugo Segawa DOI: 10.22199/S071985890.2006.0010.00003 Pero si Brasilia estuvo bajo la voluntad de ese momento de búsqueda, o de autonomía de ideas arquitectónicas derivadas de una interacción entre el medio ambiente y las posibilidades materiales técnicas de la ar- quitectura en Brasil, hasta los años sesenta, después vino una situación política con la dictadura militar, la represión, que hicieron de la arquitec- tura brasileña algo menos conocido, hasta desaparecer de las publica- ciones internacionales en los años setenta. Coincidentemente en esos años, emerge la discusión de la posmoder- nidad. Es el momento en que se descalifica con una intensa crítica al Movimiento Moderno, y a las posibles ramificaciones de ella. En este caso se incluyó a la arquitectura moderna de Brasilia. Se descalifica un tipo de arquitectura sin elaborarse una crítica adecuada, en ese sentido parte de la arquitectura moderna latinoamericana queda como una pro- ducción de segunda línea, por la descalificación que se produce por el Movimiento Posmoderno.

    Acontecimentos históricos x conflitos amorosos: o caso da minissérie JK Paula Regina Puhl Cristina Ennes da Silva Valesca Soares da Fonseca s minisséries brasileiras cada vez mais vêm se consolidando como um produto audiovisual bem produzido e destinado para públicos exigentes. Em muitas des- Asas produções notamos que os autores recorrem aos acontecimentos históricos que interferem tanto na constituição da história, quanto na concepção do cenário e na recriação ficcional de personagens que tiveram existência histórica. Diversos estudos apontam que essas minisséries, ao se basearem em fatos históricos que são conhecidos pelo público, acabam por ter mais audiência. No entanto, a hipótese do nosso estudo está na premissa de que são os conflitos amorosos, contidos nessas narrativas audio- visuais, os verdadeiros responsáveis pela aprovação do público. Nossa investigação não tem a finalidade de fazer uma pesquisa de recepção sobre as preferências da audiência, mas sim uma discussão sobre a construção narra- tiva que busca seduzir o telespectador baseada principalmente nas personagens, que são as responsáveis pelos discursos que podem ou não encantá-lo e fazê-lo assistir a cada novo capítulo. Concordamos com Barthes (2003), que acredita que a fantasia é a primeira força reconhecida pelo indivíduo por meio do imaginário que se realiza na ficção, que se configura em um projetor cultural dos seus desejos. A produção das minisséries e os acontecimentos históricos Na teledramaturgia em geral, e nas minisséries de modo específico, verifica- mos que as histórias são baseadas, muitas vezes, em acontecimentos históricos. No entanto, os produtores dessas obras geralmente procuram se abster da responsabi- lidade de colocar os fatos como eles realmente aconteceram no tempo histórico.

Nós, seres humanos, pertencemos todos a um mesmo gênero. Somos parte da humanidade, representantes dela. Os problemas que o gênero humano enfrenta geram inevi- táveis ambigüidades. A humanidade, com sua consciência antecipadora e dubitativa, teleológica e projetiva, precisa de indivíduos capazes de fazer escolhas, tomarem decisões e empreender iniciativas. Para ser fiel aos princípios que o regem, um livro de memó- rias não se deixa reduzir a uma coleta de informações colhi- das no passado. Cabe-lhe resgatar o vivido danificado pelo esquecimento. É o que este livro nos ensina: o presente é a chave para a abordagem do passado. É sempre o hoje que dá sentido ao ontem. Lendo-o, eu relembrei diversos encontros que se repetiram e se modificaram ao longo de mais de meio século. Aloysio não tem compromisso com nenhum partido, mas acompanha com 5 Aloysio Campos da Paz Júnior atenção e com espírito crítico a vida política brasileira. Seu livro está cheio de referências a momentos cruciais do século XX. Aloysio pertence, eticamente, ao grupo daqueles que cos- tumamos classificar de “esquerda democrática”, isto é, àquele setor da sociedade que luta não só pela liberdade para todos, mas também pela igualdade (ou, dito em outros termos, pela diminuição das desigualdades sociais). A história política do Brasil, hegemonizada por um con- servadorismo rude e truculento, tem sido dolorosa para os “debaixo”, e eles se insurgem em vão: os vencedores tripu- diam sobre a massa popular.
