• Time to eat, relax and spend time with the family
• Also celebrated in the U.S. every fourth Thursday of November
Background
Started out as two celebrations, courtesy of Martin Frobisher and Samuel de Champlain
Immigrants and locals celebrated both events and as Canada grew, it eventually became one! Traditions
People get together with their families
They hold a big meal, which is the Thanksgiving meal.
Some provinces have parades to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

If you don’t understand the server’s words, just ASK. Read the restaurant’s menu on the internet If server asks too early, tell him/her “Give me a few more minutes please.” Tips and Pointers
If you want to stay longer after eating, tell your server ◦ “Can we stay here longer?” Don’t be nervous! You are a guest in the restaurant, and you are paying them money. PRACTICE! Get a friend to help you out first, and then slowly try it out by yourself. THANK YOU for Watching!
