Broadband USA Applications Database Applicant Name: Tower Broadband USA Applications Database Applicant Name: Tower Cloud, Inc. _______________________Public Notice Submissions_______________________ -----Service Area: Greater Montgomery, AL Submitter: Bright House Networks, LLC Comment: In support of NTIA and RUS' efforts to optimize the distribution of the scarce resources available under the ARRA Broadband NOFA, Bright House Networks is providing additional data related to this Applicant’s planned service areas. This application includes service areas which are not unserved nor underserved. -----Service Area: Greater Huntsville, AL Submitter: Comcast Cable Comment: Attached is a summary of the Comcast Cable homes passed, subscriber and advertising information related to the service areas encompassed by this application. -----Service Area: Greater Dothan, AL Submitter: Time Warner Cable Comment: As shown in the attached map and exhibit, TWC currently provides broadband Internet access service in the Proposed Funded Service Area. In addition, we advertise service of speeds above 3 Mbps throughout this service area. We pass over 50% of households, and either (1) have actual broadband subscribership of over 40% of the households in these census blocks or (2) the combined broadband subscribership of the wireline broadband providers (including TWC) in these census blocks is reasonably likely to exceed 40%. Therefore, that portion of the proposed funded service area that overlaps Respondent’s service area reflected in this response is neither “unserved” or “underserved.” Submitter: Comcast Cable Comment: Attached is a summary of the Comcast Cable homes passed, subscriber and advertising information related to the service areas encompassed by this application. Submitter: Troy Cablevision, Inc. Comment: Troy Cablevision, Inc. recently purchased Daleville City Cable and is currently in the process of connecting Daleville to our fiber network so that we may be able to offer our 10 Mbps broadband Internet packages to our current customer base in Daleville. We are aware that this area is also served by Time Warner and CenturyTel. .

By this Notice we remind all MVPDs of this recurring obligation, provide details on the filing process, and identify those MVPDs that must complete the Supplementary Investigation Sheet portion of the form. Because of technical difficulties in preparing for the filing, we extend the deadline to October 16, 2017. In addition, if filers, particularly those in hurricane-damaged areas, need more time to file, they can email [email protected] and request an extension of time. Users can access the electronic filing system via the Internet from the Commission’s website at: https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts. Paper versions of the form will not be accepted unless accompanied by an appropriate request for waiver of the electronic filing requirement. The Commission has recognized the need for limited waivers of that requirement in light of the “burden that electronic filing could place upon some [entities] who are seeking to serve the public interest, with limited resources, and succeed in a highly competitive local environment.” Streamlining of Mass Media Applications, Rules and Processes, Report and Order, 13 FCC Rcd 23056, 23061 (1998).

In this Order, the Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) addresses outstanding challenges regarding the eligibility of census blocks elected by price cap carriers for the second round of Connect America Phase I.1 Two price cap carriers challenged the designation of census blocks shown as served on the National Broadband Map, and 82 other providers filed challenges contesting census blocks elected by one or more of the price cap carriers. Of the 82 providers that submitted challenges, we grant 64 of those challenges and reject or dismiss 13. The remaining five challenges are granted in part and denied in part. Of the approximately $98 million in funding that was subject to challenge, approximately $18.7 million is now authorized for disbursement to extend broadband-capable infrastructure in 22 states. 1 The Bureau previously has issued $288 million in funding authorizations to extend broadband in 43 states and one territory. See Over $32 Million of Connect America Funding Authorized to Connect Unserved Homes and Businesses in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, WC Docket No.
