ELIGIBILITY: The TLC Season “Dash to Dollars” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry (the “Entrant”). Entrant must be a qualifying customer, in good standing, who is a current subscriber to select multichannel video programming distribution ("MVPD") providers (see Section 13 for a list of qualifying MVPD providers). Individuals must have access to the Internet in order to enter or win. Void outside of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Discovery Communications, LLC, (hereinafter known as the “Sponsor”) its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, production and promotion agencies, and the immediate families and members of the same household of each are not eligible. All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. 2. TIMING: The Sweepstakes is scheduled from 12:00:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on November 28, 2016 and ends at 11:59:59 pm ET on December 12, 2016. The Sponsor’s computer or that of its designee is the official timekeeper of this Sweepstakes. 3. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Sweepstakes, visit the TLC website at www.TLCDashtoDollars.com to complete and submit the online entry form with your name and contact information, which includes but is not limited to your (i) e-mail address, (ii) telephone number, and (iii) current physical address. PLEASE NOTE: Limit one entry per email address per day. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail account will be deemed to be the entrant. “Authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is the natural person in whose name the e-mail address has been issued. No software-generated, robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated online entries are permitted. All entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules shall be collectively hereinafter referred to as “Eligible Entries.” 4. WINNER SELECTION & PRIZE: On or about December 14, 2016, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period to award one (1) prize; consisting of a check issued in the amount of $4500. No prize transfer permitted. No prize substitution, in whole or in part, except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability, safety or security considerations, or any other reason as solely determined by Sponsor, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded. All taxes on prize and all expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner. In the event the winner engages in behavior that, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to rescind the prize. The restrictions and conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and the described above may be subject to additional restrictions and conditions, which may be stated in any correspondence with Sponsor. All taxes and other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor responsible only for prize delivery; not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred or changed, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Other restrictions may apply. A selected winner may be asked to provide Sponsor with proof that the selected winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the entry will be deemed ineligible. 5. ODDS: The odds of winning the Sweepstakes are dependent upon the number of Eligible Entries received. 6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: The potential winner will be contacted via email using the contact information provided by potential winner in his or her entry submission. To claim the prize, the potential winner will be required to respond to Sponsor’s notification within twenty four (24) hours after the aforementioned message and provide his/her full name, email address, physical mailing address, date of birth, and phone number. Subsequently, the potential winner will receive additional prize claim instructions by mail and/or email and will be required to complete, sign, have notarized, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release. All requested documents must be returned to Sponsor within time period specified at time of prize notification. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, prize forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: (i) a potential winner’s failure to respond to initial notification within twenty-four (24) hours after its transmission; (ii) the failure of notification due to deactivation of the potential winner’s email account prior to receipt of notification; (iii) potential winner’s failure to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof of age, identity, residency and employment (iv) potential winner’s failure to complete and return required documents by the date specified in winner’s notification; and (v) any other non-compliance with these Official Rules. 7. RELEASE: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing, typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) printing, typographical, technical, computer, network or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, the announcement of the prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen entries; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of the prize. Released Parties are not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable entries or for any technical problems, malfunctions of computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof. You agree to indemnify and hold the Sweepstakes Entities harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Sweepstakes Entities due to or arising out of your Entry, or your conduct in creating an Entry or otherwise in connection with the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to: claims for trademark infringement; copyright infringement; violation of an individual’s right of publicity or right of privacy; or defamation. 8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules. Failure to comply with the Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If terminated, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select a winner from all non-suspect Eligible Entries received prior to such event. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant it finds to be: (1) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; (2) violating the Official Rules; (3) violating the terms of service, conditions of use or general rules or guidelines of any Sponsor property or service; or (4) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or whose acts or deeds (actual or perceived) would or might be deemed detrimental to Sponsor's reputation, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
