CITY OF BURNSIDE Elector Representation Review NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Burnside has reviewed its composition and elector representation arrangements, in accordance with the provisions of Section 12 (4) of the Local Government Act 1999. Pursuant to Section 12 (13) (a) of the said Act, the Electoral Commissioner has certified that the review undertaken by Council satisfies the requirements of Section 12 of the Local Government Act 1999 and may therefore be put into effect as from the day of the first general election held after the expiration of five months from the publication of this notice. The revised representation arrangements are as follows: The Council of the City of Burnside will comprise the Mayor (as the principal member) and 12 Ward Councillors. The Council area will be divided into six wards, as defined in the following Schedules, with each Ward being represented by two Councillors. THE FIRST SCHEDULE Beaumont Ward: Alter and adjust the boundaries of the existing Beaumont Ward as follows: Beginning at the corner of Portrush Road and Greenhill Road, the north-western corner of Beaumont Ward, the boundary travels east along Greenhill Road, south along Devereux Road, east along Cooper Place, north along Glynburn Road, east along McAllan Avenue, continuing south-east along Waterfall Gully Road to the City of Burnside boundary. It then follows the City of Burnside boundary until it passes Gill Terrace where it heads north-east along the rear boundary of properties on Gill Terrace and Howard Court to Leslie Street. North along Leslie Street and then north-east along the rear boundary of properties on Sunnyside Road until it connects with Sunnyside Road just south of Goldsack Street.
