Report The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI), formerly the Department for Families and Communities, was created in October 2011 when the Hon Jay Weatherill MP was appointed Premier, and outlined a number of machinery of government reforms. The new portfolios to the department provide the opportunity to build on existing work and to contribute to the department’s focus on social inclusion and to strengthen community capacity and resilience. The department has responsibility to promote the wellbeing of certain population groups including Aboriginal people, youth,
