Murakami favorite for the Nobel Prize in Literature

Speculation about who will the Nobel Prize in Literature this year is already in full swing. According to the international betting company Unibet’s odds the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami is currently favorite to win the prestigious award with the odds of 11/2 at Unibet. Second favorite, American writer Joyce Carol Oates can be backed at odds of 7/1.

For the ninth year in a row, you can bet with Unibet on who you think will be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Unibet got it right last year as they installed last year’s winners Mo Yan as the favorite to take the prize. This year, it looks like Haruki Murakami will collect the coveted honor. The hugely popular Japanese author has been amongst the favorites to take The Nobel Prize over the past few years and is widely tipped to finally win in October - In 2012 our customers were split between Murakami and Mo Yan. I think it may be different this year Mr. Murakami has received a number of literary awards in recent years and for the past few years has been amongst the favorites to take the Nobel Prize. The singer-songwriter, author and poet Bob Dylan is regularly tipped as an outside bet to be a potential winner. Dylan can be backed at 19/1.
