EQL -- an extremely easy to learn knowledge graph query language, achieving high-speed and precise search Han Liu Shantao Liu Beijing Lemon Flower Technology Co., Ltd. 2020.3.15 Abstract: EQL , also named as Extremely Simple Query Language , can be widely used in the fields of knowledge graph, precise search, strong artificial intelligence, database, smart speaker, patent search and other fields. EQL adopts the principle of minimalism in design and pursues simplicity and easy to learn so that everyone can master it quickly. In the underlying implementation, through the use of technologies such as NLP and knowledge graph in artificial intelligence , as well as technologies in the field of big data and search engine, EQL ensure high- speed and precise information search, thereby helping users better tap into the wealth contained in data assets. EQL language and λ calculus are interconvertible, that reveals the mathematical nature of EQL language, and lays a solid foundation for rigor and logical integrity of EQL language. In essence, any declarative statement is equivalent to a spo fact statement. The mathematical abstract form of the spo fact statement is s: p: o (q1: v1, q2: v2 ..... qn: vn), s:p:o is subject:predicate:object, or entity : attribute : attribute value. (q1: v1, q2: v2 ..... qn: vn) are called modifiers to express more details, n is 0 or a natural number; any question statement is equivalent to one or more spo question statements, the basic form of each spo question statement is to replace any symbol of the spo fact statements with the ?x, for example, s: p:?x (q1: v1, q2: v2), or s: p: o (q1:?x, q2: v2, q3: v3).

Contemporary Visions of the New Woman in Korean Literature By Mikayla George, junior, Media The concept of the “new woman” arose as a phenomenon in the early 20th century, emerging in Korea during the Japanese colonial period. This archetype was defined by a romanticism of the female as the most marginalized member of society, who could gain agency through modernization. In the Korean context, the new woman was associated with Westernization and modernity, and over time became ostracized and thought of as a negative consequence of modernity (Kim, 52). In contemporary Korean literature such as The Vegetarian by Han Kang, the colonial new woman archetype manifests in an individual whose disregard of traditional values leads to destructive consequences. Yeong-hye from The Vegetarian embodies the new woman through her subversion of traditional gender expectations and her struggle for bodily autonomy which culminates in a moment of transcendence of societal norms. In The Vegetarian, Yeong-hye’s subversions of gender norms are simultaneously fetishized and criticized, which echoes the treatment of new women during the colonial period. During the pivotal family dinner scene in Part I of the novel, Yeong-hye’s father forces a piece of meat into her mouth after slapping her and yelling at her repeatedly (Han 48). This moment of violence embodies not only her family and father’s disapproval of her transgression, but also the specific disapproval of her actions from men, and thus patriarchal society as a whole. This is represented through her father telling Yeong-hye’s husband and brother to hold her still when he force feeds her (Han 46).

Murakami Haruki’s Short Fiction and the Japanese Consumer Society By © 2019 Jacob Clements B.A. University of Northern Iowa, 2013 Submitted to the graduate degree program in East Asian Language and Cultures and the Graduate Faculty of the University of Kansas in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts. ___________________________ Chair: Dr. Elaine Gerbert ___________________________ Dr. Margaret Childs ___________________________ Dr. Ayako Mizumura Date Defended: 19 April 2019 The thesis committee for Jacob Clements certifies that this is the approved version of the following thesis: Murakami Haruki’s Short Fiction and the Japanese Consumer Society _________________________ Chair: Dr. Elaine Gerbert Date Approved: 16 May 2019 ii Abstract This thesis seeks to describe the Japanese novelist Murakami Haruki’s continuing critique of Japan’s modern consumer-oriented society in his fiction. The first chapter provides a brief history of Japan’s consumer-oriented society, beginning with the Meiji Restoration and continuing to the 21st Century. A literature review of critical works on Murakami’s fiction, especially those on themes of identity and consumerism, makes up the second chapter. Finally, the third chapter introduces three of Murakami Haruki’s short stories. These short stories, though taken from three different periods of Murakami’s career, can be taken together to show a legacy of critiquing Japan’s consumer-oriented society. iii Acknowledgments I would like to thank my committee, Dr. Maggie Childs and Dr. Ayako Mizumura, for their guidance and support throughout my Master's degree process. In particular, I would like to thank Dr. Elaine Gerbert her guidance throughout my degree and through the creation of this thesis.

PORTRAIT IN SEPIA 1ST EDITION DOWNLOAD FREE Isabel Allende | 9780060898489 | | | | | Portrait in Sepia: A Novel Lists with This Book. I will start with what I didn't specifically enjoy. House of the Spirits is definitely the best of the trilogy, in fact I always recommend it for people just starting Allende and it can absolutely be read as standalone, however Daughter of Fortune and Portrait in Sepia should be read together to be greater appreciated. Her doting Chinese grandfather, Tao Chi'en, a physician, secretly rescues terrified children, transported in boat cages from China, to be sex-trafficked by exploiters in San Fran's China town. Others have mentioned Paulina del Valle as the main character, and I think there's some truth to that although I see her in more of a supporting role : she raises Aurora and is around for most of Portrait in Sepia 1st edition book, and certainly has the stronger personality of the two. Should I read the trilogy again, it will most definitely be in chronological order. The only nice thing I can say about it is that I learned something about Chilean history, I guess. There is a decidedly Latin beat to the flow of her sentences. When Alexander Cold's mother falls ill, the fifteen-year-old is sent to stay with his eccentric When she is forced to recognize her betrayal at the hands of the man she loves, and to cope with the resulting solitude, she decides to explore the mystery of her past. One other thing that I didn't like too much which I think is common in historical novel is how the main characters seems to bring C20th thinking an philosophy to a different time period.

  • Special Article 2
Special Article 2 By Mukesh Williams Author Mukesh Williams Murakami’s fictional world is a world of elegiac beauty filled with mystical romance, fabulous intrigues and steamy sex where his stories race towards a dénouement hard to fathom. Within the wistful experience of this world people disappear and reappear recounting strange tales of mutants, alternate reality, cults, crime and loneliness. Occasionally with a sleight of hand Murakami switches the world that his characters inhabit and absolves them of any moral or legal responsibility. Much to the dislike of Japanese traditionalists, Murakami’s fiction has gained wide readership in both Japan and the West, perhaps making him the new cultural face of Japan and a possible choice for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Though some might dismiss him as a pop artist, eccentric lone wolf, or Americanophile, he represents a new Japanese sensibility, a writer who fuses Western and Japanese culture and aesthetics with unique Japanese responses. In this sense he is the first Japanese writer with a postmodernist perspective rooted within the Japanese cultural ethos, outdoing Junichiro Tanizaki’s modernist viewpoint. Impact of the Sixties composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Handel, Mozart, Schubert and Wagner, and jazz artists like Nat King Cole, Murakami’s fiction also returns to the powerful American era of the Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Interestingly Murakami has rejected 1960s and its impact upon Japan in later decades. The literature, much of Japanese literature but likes to read a few modern Japanese attitudes, and music of the Sixties are just waiting to be told in writers such as Ryu Murakami and Banana Yoshimoto.
