Press release Condor and WestJet expand their partnership With WestJet in summer 2015, 29 additional destinations in Canada available for booking Frankfurt am Main, 07. January 2015 – Condor Airlines and WestJet have expanded their interline partnership and will now offer customers connecting flights to 29 additional destinations in Canada. These easy connections increase the frequency of flights to existing Condor destinations in Canada. Beginning in early May of 2015, Condor passengers will have the convenient option of flying to Germany and beyond via Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Whitehorse with WestJet connecting from provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Québec and Saskatchewan, as well as from the Yukon. Effective immediately, flights can be booked via the Condor website at condor.com or through travel agencies. Together with WestJet, Condor is offering its passengers an easy journey from most Canadian Cities. Condor is expanding its worldwide network of routes to a total in excess of more than 150 destinations served by Condor and its cooperation partners. Some of the following new destinations offered in Canada are : Kelowna (YLW), British Columbia, St. Johns (YYT), Newfoundland and Labrador, Fort McMurray ( YZF), Alberta, Yellowknife (YZF), Northwest Territories, Saskatoon(YXE)), Saskatchewan, Nanaimo (YCD), British Columbia Condor Airlines has been flying its passengers to the world’s most beautiful destinations since 1956. Approximately 7 million passengers per year fly with Condor to around 75 Condor destinations worldwide. From its hub in Frankfurt, Germany, Condor operates to Vancouver, Whitehorse, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax in Canada as well as Las Vegas, Baltimore, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Minneapolis/St. Paul, San Juan (PR) and Ft. Lauderdale in the United States of America. Interline agreements in North America with carriers such as Alaska Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, WestJet or Air North offer easy connections throughout Canada, Alaska and the US. Strong partnerships with airlines such as Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, SAS and many more major international airlines have been established to allow seamless service for Condor’s customers traveling beyond Condor destinations in Europe. Since 2013, Condor is part of the Thomas Cook Group Airlines to which the Thomas Cook Airlines UK, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium and Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia also belong. The fleet of the Thomas Cook Airline Group comprises 88 modern and environmentally friendly aircraft, of which 40 belong to the Condor fleet: 12 Airbus A320s, 3 Airbus A321, 13 Boeing 757-300s and 12 completely refurbished Boeing 767-300s. The aircraft are maintained by the airline’s own technical operations. Condor is co-initiator of the four-liter-campaign of the federal association of German aviation (BDL). German aviation consumption of kerosene is less than 4 liters on 100 kilometers or about 59 miles per gallon per passenger.
