This process is an invention of Aquila Corde. Densification of the trebles is approximately as follows: e' none, b 4%, g 9%. The strings are much closer in actual diameter than a conventional classical guitar set, and the response from the g string in particular is much quicker than any other synthetic string. This means that the lower pitched strings are smaller in actual diameter than non-densified strings. This process, an invention exclusive to Aquila, produces a more unified tone over the entire range of the instrument and quicker response from the lower pitched strings. Red series strings have a punchy, articulate sound.

NOTE: there is no warranty for breakage on Red Series strings. Correct setup of the nut is crucial for successful installation of the Red Series strings We recommend placing a very small round shaft screwdriver on the fingerboard against the nut during installation so the string will slide over it and not drag in the nut channel.
