It is important we select team management staff that provides the participants with a high-quality environment and overall experience appropriate to their age, maturity, and gender and skill level. Queensland Country Rugby Union is committed to development of both coaches and players to the highest standard possible PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL INFORMATION BEFORE COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM Applications are called for the following positions, for the following Queensland Country Rugby Union representative teams competing in 2021. The Country Representative program is under review with the view of ensuring players from the Queensland Country being available for selection in the Queensland Country NRC program. The dates of the program will be after the final weekend of the Country Championships on the 19th -21st March 2021. Subject to scheduling and border restrictions, the following is envisaged to the Country Representative Program for the 2021: 1. Open Heelers to play the Reds Academy team on the 7th April 2021 & the Northern Territory on the 10th April prior to the QLD Reds V Brumbies. 2. Under 19’s will play during the 2021 June- July school holidays with completive games and opportunity to be selected for the URC competition to be played in September. 3. Country Women’s program will align to the QRU program during September and October 2021. Queensland Country Rugby reserves the right to appoint a parent to a team management position if it deems there are no other suitable coaches to fill the position and is confident the person can perform his/her duties in an impartial manner Skills and Attributes Required: • Ability to maintain a positive attitude • Ability to provide a program that players will enjoy • Ability to teach the game and motivate players • Effective and respectful communication with players, parents and officials • Sportsmanship • Organizational Skills • Reliability • Embodies the Country Rugby values CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT All Team Management must agree to the following requirements if appointed to a position • Appointment to a position is for 12 months ONLY and successful applicants must reapply for a position in subsequent years. • Must Adhere to the Australian Rugby Union and Queensland Rugby Union Code of Conduct • Must hold a Current Blue Card • Must attend ALL relevant Selection Events, Meeting, Training Session and Competition Games • Team Management will abide by the Queensland Country Rugby Union Selection Policy • Team Management will maintain consistent contact with Queensland Rugby Union and Queensland Country Rugby Union providing and receiving feedback, advice, input and development. • Uphold the reputation and values of Queensland Rugby Union and Queensland Country Rugby Union at all times.     RUGBY AUSTRALIA SPECIAL EVENT GUIDELINES FOR RUGBY UNION 1. Introduction 1.1. All Rugby Union events, tournaments, and matches conducted outside approved regular competitions, pre-season trials, inter association and/or other representative matches/programs must receive formal sanctioning approval. 1.2. Member Unions have the authority to sanction events, tournaments and matches which are conducted within their respective jurisdictions. 1.3. Special Event Guidelines ensure that all rugby union events, tournaments and matches played in Australia are conducted in a safe and professional manner, and comply with the respective Rugby Australia Law Variations, Registration Regulations and Codes & Policies. 1.4. The purpose of this document is to provide detailed information about the requirements for sanctioning, what is required to satisfy the guidelines and how an Event Organiser goes about meeting these standards. 2. Safety 2.1. The safety and well-being of players are the overriding influence on how rugby union events, tournaments and matches are to be conducted in Australia. Whilst organisational and administrative arrangements are important to the outcome of events/tournaments, player safety and player welfare must always remain paramount. 3. Requirements for Sanctioning 3.1. There are several basic requirements that must be met as part of the sanctioning process. These include, but are not limited to: a. A suitably experienced Event Organiser to ensure that the event/tournament can be run in a safe and competent manner. b. A safe and suitable Event Venue(s) for all tournament related events. c. Appropriate Medical and Safety Requirements are present throughout the duration of the event, as per Rugby Australia Medical and Safety Recommendations.

This a matter of concern for the QRRA, as it places a heavy additional burden on our administrators, Appointments Officers and particularly on our long suffering referees (some of even the most dedicated of our members have needed to declare unavailability so that they can recover from injuries or preserve their bodies for the year ahead).

Thank you Richard Lehmann QCRU Board Member / North Queensland Representative M: 0437 558927 [email protected] North Queensland Rugby Union Objective The aim of these selection criteria is to ensure the overall success and experience for all people involved within the North Queensland Rugby Union’s Representative Program as part of the Country Championships to be held on the Gold Coast on 3, 4 and 5 June 2016. It is important, as a pathway to the Queensland Country Heelers and through to the National Rugby Championships (NRC), that we select team management staff that provide the participants with a high quality environment and overall experience appropriate to their age, maturity and skill level. North Queensland Rugby Union is committed to development of both coaches and players to the highest standard possible. Applications are called for the following positions for the North Queensland Rugby Union representative teams competing in 2016. Teams North Queensland Open side; North Queensland Under 19’s side. Positions: Head Coach; Assistant Coach; Team Manager; and Physiotherapist. Essential Criteria Current Australian Rugby Union accreditation as per table below Ability to attend the selection event (NQ Carnival to be held at Cairns on 30 April 2016 and 1 and 2 May 2016), any training sessions, any meetings and the Country Championships to be held on the Gold Coast on 3, 4 and 5 June 2016.
