Rugby Australia has identified you as an athlete that has the attributes which can be transferred to play Rugby 7’s at the elite level and we would love to give you the opportunity to undertake some testing as well as participate in some skills specific training to see whether Rugby 7’s is the sport for you. As you may be aware, the Australian Women’s 7s team has recently booked their spot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and preparations have begun with the games just over 12 Months away. The team will be the defending Gold Medalist from Rio 2016. Rugby Australia will be running a number of testing events over the next month for selected athletes with the top athletes then to be provided with an opportunity to travel to Sydney to train with the National Team. The combines will include the following elements: • Body Composition Testing( Wingspan etc.) • Athletic Performance Testing • Rugby Specific Testing The dates and venues for the combines will be as follows you are able to choose which you would like to attend as part of your registration: Sunshine Coast Venue - University of the Sunshine Coast Dates: Thursday 11th July – 6.00pm to 9.00pm Sunday 14th July – 10.00am-1.00pm Gold Coast Venue – Bond University Date: Wednesday 17th July – 6.00pm to 9.00pm Venue – Griffith University Date: Sunday 21st July – 10.00am to 1.00pm Brisbane Venue – QLD Rugby Union (Ballymore Stadium) Dates: Saturday 20th July – 10am to 1.00pm Wednesday 24th July – 6.00pm to 9.00pm If you are interested in attending one of the combine events and putting your hand up to chase the Olympic Dream please complete the following Jot Form Survey by COB : On receipt of your JotForm we will be in touch with further information and documents relevant for the combine events.
