VANDEN PLAS - 3993cc ~ 1965 Mileage: 35,502 miles Warranted ONE OF 14 CARS ENTERED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection and is in excellent condition with only 35,502 miles on the clock from new and is warranted. It has MOT's going back to 1968, showing mileage being very low each year as the original owner, who had the car from new, only used it on short journeys. When he died it was put into storage for 18 years until a member of the family re-commissioned it replacing many items that were prone to deterioration during that time, like the brakes, tyres and other various parts. It was then we believe passed to another member of the same family, where it was used on occasions as a typical classic doing low mileage while in their care. When it was purchased it was black and silver, which seemed a very harsh colour but quite common amongst this type of vehicle. It was decided with much discussion that it would look much better the colour it is today, being Grey over Silver. The light leather interior is in good condition and very comfortable, being made to last because of the quality of workmanship. It is very rare to find a car of this calibre that has such a low mileage for its year, which has been verified as correct. The 4ltr automatic Rolls Royce engine purrs beautifully as it should and has been lovingly maintained to a high standard while in the vendors care. It is a dream to drive with column change and power steering giving the feeling of floating on air. The future purchaser of this car will find it an absolute gem and a very rare find indeed. Estimate £7900- £8500

It has the 2965cc straight six OHV engine which gives out 135hp and a Borg Warner type 35 three speed automatic box. In 1964 the revived the Humber Imperial name for a top-of-the-line Humber Super Snipe, distinguished by a slightly lower different shaped and vinyl-clad roof. Automatic was standard and there was a more luxuriously appointed interior. It has fully reclining front seats and hydrosteer power steering which was standard on this model. Also electrically adjustable rear shock absorber settings and a separately controlled rear passenger heater. This particular car built in November 1966 would be one of the last of this model made, . ROVER P5 COUPE - 2998cc ~ 1966 Mileage: 78,551 miles Not Warranted MOT: 29/09/2016 ONE OF 14 CARS ENTERED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR. This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection and is in good condition, the with the straight six 3ltr engine is quite sought after. The Mklll being the last of this model makes it an attractive buy, also the coupe version was the one to have as it had better roof lines than the saloon. Very little has been done to this vehicle by the current owner since he purchased it, other than a full service and some minor adjustments. It already had the benefit of new carpets and the sumptuous blue leather seats have been renovated in the past. The current mileage of 78,551 although can't be warranted, is likely to be fairly accurate bearing in mind the vehicle's condition. It drives as it should, which is very smooth indeed, with its column change three speed automatic box to carry you along in style. The body is in great condition and is painted in the most popular colour, Admiralty Blue with a lighter blue roof, which is the best combination we think. It has a rear bumper and over-riders and would benefit from re-chroming. Again this September 1966 model year was to be the last of its line, which finished in 1967 and only 2500 coupe models where made. An absolute bastion of Britishness. Estimate £5300-£6150

ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY HURRICANE - 1991cc ~ 1947 Mileage: 29,745 miles Not Warranted ONE OF 14 CARS ENTERED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR. This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection of vehicles and is very rare to come across these days. This 1947 model with a 2ltr straight six engine and 4 speed manual gearbox is very pleasant to drive. It is a full 5 seater car with very wide doors for ease of access when travelling with passengers in the back. This lovely car would benefit from a full re-spray at sometime in the future, as a small amount of paint has come off the body in the past. The mileage although shown at 29k can't be confirmed as we don't have sufficient paperwork to back this up.The body itself is solid, with the beige colour and its smooth lines it makes for a very grand looking 3 position drophead coupe indeed. This car has had the benefit of a total rewire, re-upholstered seats and a full service and re-tune to have it running smoothly as it should. The Hurricane was produced from 1946 to 1953 and was based on the Lancaster Saloon, only 2,600 were made with this particular model sporting a 70hp overhead valve engine. The chassis featured independent front suspension using torsion bars and a live rear axle with leaf springs. A Girling hydro-mechanical braking system was fitted, with the front drums hydraulically operated while those at the rear used rod and cable. The body is made of steel and aluminium panel, fitted over a wood and aluminium frame. Estimate £14500- £15200

WOLSELEY HORNET - 998cc ~ 1969 Mileage: 51,000 miles Not Warranted MOT: 25/05/2017 This luxury version of the classic Mini has recently undergone a comprehensive professional restoration to the body, interior, subframes and all major mechanical components, this is well documented and photographed in the file that accompanies the car. This is probably the nearest thing you can get to a "new" 47 year old car. The body, which was in remarkably good original condition, has had new inner and outer sills fitted together with some repairs to the floors, front panel and lower rear corners. Doors, bonnet and boot lid were in superb order, needing only minor rectification work. The old paint was stripped where necessary and then everything was carefully repainted inside and out in the correct Birch Grey/Yukon grey combination. The underside is all painted, no ugly underseal or any other coating hiding anything. Both front and rear subframes and suspension have been fully rebuilt with new bushes and seals etc, and coated with 2k commercial chassis paint. Braking system has all new cylinders, shoes, hoses and pipes. Period correct Minilite style wheels give a slightly sportier look and the wider tyres provide almost limitless grip. The engine and gearbox after being stripped and inspected were found to have minimal wear, so were reassembled with new gaskets and seals. A new later style Verto clutch and a slightly larger 1 1/2" carburettor have been fitted. The interior has had no expense spared with new top quality soft leather being used to recover the seats, door cards and interior trim panels, along with deep pile carpets and a cloth headliner. There is a period correct Radiomobile radio (fully working) and leather trimmed steering wheel to compliment the full width walnut dashboard. Although the present mileage cannot be warranted, when you take into account the fact that for the last three decades the car has been in storage and the low wear found on the engine and other mechanical components, it would be fair to assume that it is correct. The Hydrolastic suspension gives a far superior ride than the rather unforgiving rubber cones used on most , without compromising the model's legendary roadholding and handling. The combination of the sophisticated ride quality, handling and agility that only the Mini can give, and the sumptuous leather interior go to make riding in this car a truly gorgeous experience.

It was painted silver to enhance the beautiful lines this car has and its immaculate grey interior with perfect wood dash give it style and standing. This State Limousine as it was known will waft you along like being on air, as it was based on the MK 10 floor pan and running gear. The 88,420 miles are believed genuine by the owner and it probably was never driven much more than 45 to 50 MPH under its previous guise. The private plate was purchased and put on this vehicle to also enhance its status, as a stylish useable grand carriage. The driver's compartment is in black, with black carpets and a beautiful highly lacquered wooden dash. Everything works as it should and has the typical layout of these long standing Daimler cars, although this is one of the last to be made, being of 1992 vintage. It starts and runs perfectly after having a full rebuild of the carburettor's and has been re-tuned to cope with modern petrol. It has a cavernous boot for that airport luggage trip and plenty of room in the passenger compartment to party or celebrate any occasion, with up to six seats if required. The current owner has used this car for many trips to the races and other special occasions. It has needed very little work done to this vehicle as it has been very well maintained over the years, also being in a covered showroom when not in use. Estimate £14000- £15000

CHRYSLER PHAETON 60 - 2953cc ~ 1927 Mileage: 2,057 miles Not Warranted ONE OF 14 CARS ENTERED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection of vehicles and is the most popular car for brides at there weddings as it is very stylish in the colour of Burgundy and Cream. This beautiful carriage from Chrysler was built in Detroit Michigan USA in 1927, it was made right hand drive because it was ordered and exported to Australia for the use of a doctor there, as we understand it. Although renovated to a high standard in more recent times, it has not lost any of its charms. The six volt system was usual in those days and still works well to drive the various lights and ignition, including starting the 3ltr straight six engine. The engine runs very smooth, which is coupled to a 3 speed manual gearbox and has a prop shaft operating hand brake. The huge whitewall tyres and wooden Ash spokes are a pleasure to look at, with the very efficient cart style hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. Although this model lacks a boot, it makes up for it by having a very spacious rear seat compartment, as the spare wheels is mounted on the rear of the car. The Chrysler is of course a convertible and has a very large canopy, which when up overhangs the sides to direct any water away from inside the vehicle. It does have a full set of side panels which are available to the new owner; the condition of this hood is as new and is a good replica of its original hood. The interior is absolutely stunning with its magnolia cream upholstery and burgundy carpets; the dash is very simple and has a mileage reading of 6,057, which we can't confirm is correct due to its age. The wooden steering wheel is a rather unique touch and a work of art, with a horn button, advance and retard leaver and accelerator leaver, all working as they should. This car is beautiful to look at and runs like a well oiled clock, but is an art to drive, with the accelerator as the middle pedal and the brake on the right Estimated sale price: £19,500 - 22,500

DAIMLER EL24 LIMO - 3445cc ~ 1938 Mileage: 31,242 miles Warranted ONE OF 14 CARS ENTERED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection of vehicles and is a 1937 Royal Daimler having covered only 31,242 miles in its lifetime. It was built in and fitted out by Daimler to HM King George Vi specifications; it then went out of royal service in 1946 after being laid up during the war years, to its first recorded owner as in the old beige log book. Although most of the Royal Daimlers were straight eights, there was at least one EL24 in the Royal household according to the records. Later in 1950 it was recorded as being owned by First Avenue Garage in Sussex where it served as a chauffeur driven hire car. It was then owned by a Mr Griffiths, who was regularly chauffeured from his home in Chipping Campden to London and on his demise circa 1970, ownership passed to his daughter Mrs Woodley. She then loaned the car to a motor museum in Stratford-on-Avon, where it remained for some 17 years. The official record of this cars manufacture was lost in the war time blitz on Coventry, the build and the fact of its Daimler body is the specification to have been the car delivered to HM King George Vi. In 1987 the car went under a programme of loving restoration and maintenance costing in excess of £12,000, since that date the car has covered just over 3,000 miles. During this work a Buckingham Place pass was found down in the door panel. In 1998 EUU 297 was selected to participate in a parade of classic cars through the centre of Coventry, celebrating 100 years of the motoring industry's association with that city and was driven to and from Coventry from West Sussex. In 2001 while with the current owner it was hired for a TV film series of six episodes called the Cazalets, as the Old Brig's Daimler, a trilogy by Elizabeth Jane Howard. This was made by the BBC and the American company, Home Box office. It was then used again in a film released in 2003 by the same production company, for a film called The Gathering Storm, staring Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave. This was a film about Winston Churchill's life in politics, building up to the Second World War. These two films are with the car as a memento of this event in the cars history, as the car was a regular visitor to Chartwell. The car itself is running very well and starts on the button every time, the pre-select gearbox does its job and is very smooth considering its age. The driver's speaker horn still works connected to the passenger cabin which has various items such as an original silver covered bottle of smelling sorts, a proper cigar lighter and rear blind that is operated by the chauffeur. The passenger cabin was re-upholstered in Bedford Cord, as it would have been in its original specification for its first owner. EUU 297 has been well looked after by its current owner and has been carefully and sympathetically maintained in line with its history, however it is suggested that any prospective new owner does their own investigation on its provenance. The car has had a full service prior to the sale and is a very regal conveyance indeed. Estimated sale price: £38,000 - 40,000

Land Rover 2.3 Series 2a ~ 1967 Mileage: 81,000 miles Not Warranted MOT: 17/07/2017 This is a very rare Searle Safari 88 Carawagon, a Land Rover approved conversion carried out by RJ Searle of Sunbury on Thames, Only around 12 of these are known to exist. This one was supplied new by RJ Searle so was converted directly from the production line. It carried UK registration SPF6F. It is powered by the 2.3 petrol engine. Not much is known of the early history other than what can be learnt from the service book which is that it was maintained by the same firm and that by 1979 when all the service vouchers were used up it had covered 23,778 miles. A UK history check shows the road tax expired in 1984. It is believed the car had a long term lady owner who brought the car to Ireland with her around that time. It appears that a full ground up restoration including a new chassis was subsequently carried out but there are no records to detail the work carried out. Two service stickers from 1996 and 1998 show mileages of 67,000 and 75,000 respectively. The last owner purchased the car at a country auction in Bagnelstown, Co Carlow in 2004 and reregistered it on the current number at that stage. He has only covered a further 6000 miles in that time. Sadly the bed conversion is missing the rear cushions though some tasteful rear seats have been fashioned out of oak There are also some copies of Searle’s information sheets and history check. The car is currently registered in Southern Ireland. No VAT or duties are due on importation. We will provide NOVA certification and assist with reregistration in UK.
