MAIN FUNCTIONS Operations and Business Units. Responsible for managing the company's six main business units: Cartagena Shipyard, Ferrol Estuary Shipyard and Bay of Cadiz Shipyard, Systems and Repairs Business Units and Navantia Australia. It will mainly integrate the functions of the previous Directions of Programs, Industrial and Systems and the Engineering and Procurement activities related to these operations and businesses. For the development of its responsibilities, it will have two specific support functions: "Planning and Monitoring" and "Coordination of Operations Procurement“ Engineering and Product & Processes Development. It will be responsible for the functions of Conceptual Engineering, Strategic Relationships with suppliers, Corporate Procurements, and Corporate Quality, enhancing their integration and synergies for the development and improvement of competitive products and services. It will lead the PUMA project, the standardization plans and the homogenization of engineering processes in collaboration with the Technical Design Authorities Business Development & Commercial. Responsible for developing the commercial activity of the Military and Civil vessels, Systems and Repairs areas, including the international delegations, the development of the Through Life Support and Wind Energy business units, as well as the functions of Proposals & Estimates office and Marketing Technology Centre. It will manage the conceptual development of the Shipyard 4.0 model and the digitization plan and its implantation in the different shipyards and business units. It will also manage R & D & I functions in collaboration with external agents Strategy. Responsible for the following functions: Strategic Planning and Investments, Studies and Competitive Intelligence, Corporate Risk Management and Control of Business Units, Offers and Special Projects General Counsel and Secretary of the Board. It will act as Secretary of the Board and will be responsible to ensure Legal Advice and manage the Compliance Unit Human Resources. It will integrate the current human resources functions with the reinforcement of the role of HR Business Partners to support the business and the coordination of international HR management, as well as Health & Safety and Environment 7 febrero 2018 BUSINESS DIVISIONS. DE OPERACIONES Y NEGOCIOS Gonzalo Mateo-Guerrero Alcázar Nacido en Madrid (1972) Casado, tres hijos Director de Operaciones y Negocios (desde 29 de junio de 2017) Experiencia Profesional: Comenzó su vida profesional en la Empresa Bridgestone-Firestone. En el año 2000 se incorporó a BAZAN, actual Navantia, dentro de la Dirección Técnica de la Compañía, participando en diferentes proyectos navales. En 2004 fue nombrado Jefe de Departamento de Ciclo de Vida. En junio de 2006, se trasladó a Melbourne para establecer la delegación de Navantia en Australia, y coordinar la preparación de las ofertas y más tarde la negociación y firma de los contratos de los programas para la construcción de dos buques anfibios (LHDs) y tres destructores (AWD) para la Marina Australiana. En 2007 fue nombrado Director General de Navantia Australia. En 2012 fue nombrado Director Comercial de Navantia. En junio de 2017 fue nombrado Director de Operaciones y Negocios, puesto que ocupa en la actualidad. He moved to Melbourne in June 2006 to establish a delegation of Navantia in Australia and to coordinate the preparation of tenders and further negotiations within the amphibious vessels (LHDs) and Air Warfare Destroyers (AWD) programs. In 2007 he was appointed as Navantia Australia Managing Director, being responsible for managing Navantia’s operations in Australia, as well as for business development in the Asia-Pacific region.
