Für die Wintersaison habe man allerdings noch keine Bestätigung seitens Ryanair erhalten. Man befindet sich in Verhandlungen, um einen eventuellen Personalabbau vermeiden zu können. In Wien sieht David O’Brien keine Aussicht darauf, dass es deutlich mehr als zehn Airbus A320 für den Winter werden könnten, denn sowohl die Kosten am Airport als auch der Betrieb des Maschinentyps sollen hoch sein. Verhandlungen über A320neo für Lauda Europe laufen weiter Im Anschreiben wird auch die Einflottung der ersten Boeing 737-Max-200 bei Ryanair erwähnt.
