On a sad note ………. Malijo Shania D’Or Our beautiful, wonderful Malijo Shania D’Or (Dam to JC Torlene and JC Juliet) passed away in late August. It was suspected that she had eaten some dying marshmallow weed, causing her to suffer from nitrite poisoning. This is a very rare form of poisoning in horses, and despite the vets doing all that could humanly be done – Shania was put to sleep. We were devastated! We had just sold Torlene and thought that we had lost Shania’s gene pool! Fortunately, we were able to re-attain JC Juliet. She will now reside forever at JC Farm, where she will be schooled in dressage and later become a broodmare. “Thankyou” to the Tatura Vet Clinic for all of their assistance with Shania.
